DarkoD13: I'll nod as if I understand what's going on this game. :D
What do you think of Kryspyn's read of flub in post 469?
I should add a rule about modkilling the moderators who derail the thread.

Ah no wait, I've already done this to me in the OP.

trentonlf: What do you think of Kryspyn's read of flub in post 469?
I don't really agree with it. Flub does tends to get too serious at random points in every game I've played with him, stating obvious things in pompous ways. And it clashes really hard with his sillier comments. I usually end up fighting with him over some of his comments, which is why I tried to avoid engaging him too much on Day 1. It was pointless to me as I trusted his claim from the very beginning. It was too specific and on par with what I've seen from him in the past when he's town (the avatar, I mean).
If you're implying that Krypsyn suspected flub of a power role, he has already admitted that that was the case (after flub's flip I think).
avatar
Vitek: If I was to vote someone right now, it would be Krypsyn, if only for his excessive lurkiness. I see him playing CK2 often, that's true, but it looks like he is just ignoring this thread altogether and some of his posts still doesn't fill me with trust even after explaining.
avatar
DarkoD13: That's the best you've got right now? Lynch a lurker?
I think completely MIA is much different than lurker. In game 22 we had GDW and he just disappeared and the scum were able to use it to there advantage to play against the town.

Mrk -said it himself after the game was over - Yes. The village's mistake was not killing GDW on day #3. This is a cruel game. The village strategy should be to kill its weakest links as early as possible, villager or wolf.

Also Krypsen stated this about his game play - You were coming after me for trying to lead town to certain votes. It is true, but it is very similar to how I play a pro-town role. I am pretty vocal, regardless of alignment, and I usually come out hard and fast with analysis and votes

^ This is the one thing that sticks with me. If he was telling the truth about his game play (I have not played with him since so please others chime in if his statement about his game play is true) Why is he changing his game play up so much?

Telika: Well, for starters, gender itself doesn't make a lot of sense. I mean : really all the configurations exist, between gender swapping with or without attraction to the same or other sex, between gay, straight, and bi cross-dressers, the whole range of attitudes and preferences. Then, "taking on a genre" itself is not an univocal notion : which aspect of life, what activity or attitude, is gendered and how, in what context what "role" is taken for how long, in the eyes of whom, etc. Then, "taking on" the bodily attitudes (and tastes) that are assigned to our sex in a given society is seamless, but neither natural nor logical - it's simply invisibly consensual, but not more or less absurd than "taking on" attitudes that a given society doesn't assign to this or that sex. Then, many people "feel" they belong to the other sex, and endorse (consciously or not) the gendered attitude that are attached to it, and sometimes it also goes with the sexual preference (not even any apparent contradiction there). Then, people who are attracted to one sex aren't necessarily attracted to all the gendered attitudes that are supposedly related to it. And, of course, not as many homosexuals "take on" opposite gender roles as the stereotype implies.

Seriously, gender it a crazy can of bouncing worms, of which our society only makes a few visible (strengthening its the idea of normality through the "invisibilising" of its actual diversity). But humans, in practice, are so crazily varied on that sort of stuff that you'd be hard-pressed to even invent a "logic" in relation to which some behaviours would be "illogical"...
You just love derailing threads and engaging in such conversations, don't you, Telika? :P

Was actually wondering if others could have taken it that way though and that helped prodded them to go after flub. I mean someone who has played with him before. I asked you as you have been pretty good with your reads and I have you as town so your opinion means more to me.

I do. Must now find a way to turn them into mafiagame setups (both the anthropology of gender, and the forumers-versus-thread-derailers things).

Btw, everything I know about genders, I learned from South Park's "The Cissy" episode.
OK, yes, I was looking for an excuse to post this song.

Good episode. I was a little bummed there was no new episode last week.
I have never been able to get into South Park, have always wondered why it was so popular LOL

He really felt the same to me. But yeah, they could have, along with the comment flub made about "things to look out for". Which again, seems like an obvious thing to say, but can be misinterpreted. Fortunately in this case, since flub was indeed vanilla.
Gah guys, stop that about me.
Also we need to get rid of this mod.

I get it dedo, if someone asks you for reasons for your reads and you refuse then they become number 1 suspect. You should have said it right away and we could be all happier. :-p

avatar
dedoporno: At the end of D2 Vitek and you were the most suspicious people in my list. I'm currently not sure how I feel about your night episode. It does sound plausible to some extent, but I don't see it necessarily as Town proof.
avatar
dedoporno: I have never mentioned you in D1. I haven't mentioned a other people as top suspects as well, because back then and there none of you were one. You were "leaning to scum / scummy / this guy needs to be looked over". At the end of D1 adaliabooks and trentonlf were my top suspects and I would have voted for either of them. In the end that was adaliabooks which left me with trent as top pick with the current info and a few others that felt like scum, but not as much. D2 started with new info and new theories.
(Assuming you meant end of D1), this was my problem with your reads all that time.
You including me as your suspect seems just like sheeping Darko, who mentioned me first shortly before that.
And in post 805 you did it again with Krypsyn and Sage after yogsloth mentioned them and you immediately sheeped his opinion.

avatar
mrkgnao: 3) In post #838, Vitek points out that yogsloth's phrasing of Vitek's unvote was misleading. I also felt so. Vitek did not unvote adalia.
Oh, it was yogsloth. Thanks for mentioning it. I missed that and only noticed it when dedo repeated that. Seems the misinformation already spread to him.

No, that's the best I wanted to tell at that moment. ;-)
(Not that I am hiding super strong incriminating read)
Post with thoughts incoming.

Sage103082: ...
The problem I see with this is that he is an easy vote. Anyone can jump on the bandwagon and say "yeah, whatever, he was lurking, what else could I do" if he flips town. No accountability at all, leaving us with no new info on the next Day.
So for the moment I'd rather wait for Telika to resolve the situation, it's not like we have a deadline hanging over our heads.
