adaliabooks: Vitek asked why I felt his post had little substance. I mentioned about him saying CSPVG was lurking as being nothing new, everyone knows this is the case and it had been discussed. He arrived late to the party and seemed to throw it out there just for something to say.
I thought we were supposed to listen and hear everyone's opinion on a matter, not just certain individuals, and I don't see how being "late at the party" excludes him from sharing his opinion. It would have been a lot more suspicious if he altogether ignored the subject, thank tackling it, as evasive as his tackle was.
adaliabooks: What I meant about flub was that discussion of his avatar doesn't give much to the game. yogsloth mentioned he wouldn't discuss it, but of course he won't. If he is roleclaiming in it then confirming that is only good for scum.
Role claiming? I fail to see how a vanilla wine avatar is a definite role claim.
adaliabooks: If he is scum and somehow hinting at that he's not going to come out and say it.
Again, what's even the point of this sentence? Flub has not role claimed. What he has been doing on the other hand is teasing us and attempt to point at something. He may try to tell us he has a vanilla role, scum or town, or he may be lying about this and use the avatar to throw off suspicion. You don't know which of these it is and your sentence does not even correlate with what it has been already discussed.
adaliabooks: Bringing this up (again after it has already been mentioned and discussed) doesn't to me add any value to the discussions.
Again, we are supposed to hear everyone's opinion on a matter in order to have as much efficiency in voting as possible.
adaliabooks: As to what he said about you, he called you the most interesting but
neglected to say why he thought that.
Oh really? Do people really need explanation for this?
adaliabooks: I have freely admited and explained my backtracking. I don't consider I have really let anything drop. I raise suspicions as and when they come to me and I see what reaction that gets fron the other players. If there's one thing I learned fron last game its that people are very hard to convince. I knew HijacK wasn't scum day 1, but no one listened. I knew trent was scum day 2, but everyone decided to vote CSPVG despite the evidence. So this game if people aren't immediately interested I don't see the point in pursuing it doggedly.
You never pursued your suspicion of trent for too long, so no matter how sure you were about him, you didn't do much in uncovering him.
For the record: trent had been my #1 suspect in game #23 since day one due to some questions he asked and made little sense and different speech patterns that indicated he was trying to earn "good will" among some townies. But here's the thing. Just like you, I was almost sure about him, however I never pursued the lead due to my lynch, so how does that matter now?
adaliabooks: A wagon seems to be forming, and the other thing I've learned is that once that happens it doesn't often stop.
It's up to you to make it stop.
adaliabooks: I just hope the rest of you will see your mistake.
It's not the mistake of those who vote for you, but yours alone for the way in which you tackled the situation. If you're town, you made the mistake of being too ambiguous and snarky with the posts in a game full of vets who are used to a different playstyle.
