I don't want to give an exact answer, so let's just say I have at least 3 shots left.

Here I am. Finally back from work and in the eve of a two days worth of Nerdery.

I'm kind of on board with yogsloth's suggestion about targeting these specific claims, since the redundancy seems way too much. I'm rather inclined to believe the paranoid to some extent, since they can potentially balance out so many scanner power roles, but it would take only this long until people start to figure out they are losing their abilities or that they aren't working as expected. This seems like a pretty crazy setup, but I guess nothing is impossible.


Here is how I see things so far:


yogsloth - He has to buddies with trentonlf in order for this crazy scheme to work. If they were able to come up with such a good plan in one night they must be mafia geniuses. The entire thing is too convoluted to come up with. Also, no offense dudes, but there are actual geniuses out there :) My point is that I'm inclined to believe yogsloth's claim, so I won't be changing my name with his. Also, he's one of the people on this list that looked most Townie to me during the game so far.

Krypsyn - I'm not sure about him. I stated a few times already that I don't really have too much to say about him and for the most of the game he was neutral to me. I guess he still is to some extent. The thing about him is that his role makes most sense in terms of redundancy. Cop and Watcher seems acceptable. I kind of believe his role (not sure about alignment yet) because when he claimed there were like 4 other people and that is too much risk of collision in my book. Unless, of course, some of these are his buddies :) Less risk, but still. At this moment I would prefer to skip Krypsyn and get back to him during the next days (if we are both around, of course).

Vitek - Ahhh, that guy. I had had so much beef with him Today and it's so hard for me to change my views, but I kind of see his claim as plausible (not sure probable, though), especially if we have more scanner roles around (like a Watcher and a Cop), just to make it more confusing and interesting. I still can't say I totally believe him, because it's hard for me to do 180, but I can try for at least a 90 - neutral until further notice.

mrkgnao - I have think about this a bit more. I've seen him as mostly Town up until the last few days, before some suggestions managed to shake this a bit. I know that he looked that way in game 22, and he was one of them wolves, so I'm not trusting him ultimately, but I'm inclined to believe his role claim as well. I'm still not sure about his alignment, but I don't see a wagon forming on him, so I don't need to consider voting for him Today.

HijacK - The first person to claim and with about half of he players remaining to counter claim. Ship model and role similar to mine. The only thing I believe as strongly as this to be true is Darko's alignment. Also, should be in cahoots with Sage. Just as with yogsloth and trentonlf it sounds too convoluted. Too much to go wrong, too much risk to not be mostly true. Why mostly? Because I'm not sure about HijacK's alignment. Now that we have even more potential scanners his role seems even more redundant to me. Of, course those damn paranoids may be here just for this, to bring balance because we have so much power. But that seems too far-fetched and I don't think I'll be able to handle such a setup. I wouldn't know how to play it, so I decide to discard it for now. To me it looks like HijacK is indeed a flavor cop, but not on our side. And he got the short end of the stick with Sage. Also, his behavior seemed to change a bit in the last few hours when a legitimate second wagon started to form. He isn't so aggressive as he was before, but seems somewhat softer and tries to work with the rest to figure things out. Seems like a defensive reflex to me. I'm sure HijacK will remind me that he can still be aggressive now :)


With all that said I believe it's pretty obvious that I'll be joining the HijacK wagon and hope for the best.

There's a reason flavor cop is a common mafia role, since it can be used for finding power roles. I don't get anything from Sage's paraphrasing of adalia's quotes that would suggest mafia having a deeper knowledge of power roles from the beginning. That wouldn't make much sense.
I'd like to see his flip before I theorize any further, but I'll refrain from thorizing him before he gives his final thoughts (hopefully they won't be limited to how stupid we all are). I want to see some more Vitek before the Night too, if I'm being honest (I know you're online, I can see you).

I wonder... Should we try and plan for the night or is this a bad idea? Should everyone play their own game?

Well, HijacK is really up against it this time. Either you or CSPVG will hammer. I don't think we're going to get the full HijacK treatment - there's no point now. If we've screwed up and picked town, I hope he'll offer some thoughts on where we should look tomorrow.

Plus, with Sage around, he can call us idiots all he wants afterwards and we'll hear him. :)

ahhh, I thought about this too. I think we have to play our own games, so no chance of overt mafia interference.

I am telling you now, however, that I'm shooting Darko. Because either he's vanilla town and I will do no harm, or he's godfather and deserves it. ;)
