Hello everyone, I've just popped in to once again apologise for not having posted in two days. My week has been a little all over the place and I haven't had time to properly read through all the new posts.

I will be going to the airport today to pick someone up, but promise to post something by Saturday.

I'm not that glad you decided to elaborate even more on it, either. Was it really that necessary to list even more possible scenarios and ideas on which the scum may feed upon?

I was pretty disappointed by yoglosth's #1016 that I entirely neglected to acknowledge Krypsyn's idea about the light-based weapons. This didn't even occur to me and makes it a lot more plausible for the targeting to be some sort of a scan or even a role-block.

By the way, in Telika's #481 we saw that some of the scanning is done by The Spatial Awareness Synthesizer, whatever that is. I may be reaching here, but such device may use some sort of radio waves, but why not light beams as well? If that is the case it won't be as surprising to have similar machinery on some of the ships.

The fact flub said or did nothing that stood out meant he was ideal first night Kill - no info to be gleaned by us by rereading his first day posts.

CSPVG and power role.

@mrkgnao - scum obviously didnt figure out possible correlation between ship model and role / alignment? (post 997).
Nowhere do you acknowledge the possibility that that might be because CSPVG is scum??? Interesting.
And - I'm voting for CSPVG first because you are more active, and give us more to work with. Should CSPVG flip scum, you would be next up for me no worries...

We have a dilemma with CSPVG now. Lynch, as he is under suspicion (I for one think he is definitely scum). Or leave, just in case he is a power role. Funnily enough , its a common Mafia tactic to hint / claim power role when under pressure, but this time CSPVG has had the work done for him by others. Something else to consider.

Vote stays on CSPVG for me.

I always say RL can be a pain, but for some reason this post reeks as stalling to me. Still, RL may indeed be a pain, so can't blame anyone for it.

So don't post for two days just to pop in to say you will not be posting for two days. So basically four days with no real posts. I can truly understand how RL can jump up and bite you in the ass at times and make it to where all else takes a backseat, but if that were the case I'm sure you would ask to be replaced. This seems more like a stop looking at me tactic though.

By the way, there IS a deadline.

It's in two weeks or so, but still. Worth mentionning.

I have no problem with your vote on CSPVG. You give a reasonable scum analysis. I know half of it is incorrect, but it makes some sort of sense. That's legit.

But HijacK simply says he wants to kill CSPVG not because he suspects he is scum, but because he is curious to see what role he has and correlate it to the ship model. He is scarificing him for a scientific experiment. And that to me is so cruel and so anti-town.

Several people have mentioned a technique of reading posts twice, once assuming town and once assuming scum. Now read the recent posts assuming CSPVG is town (and statistically that is still more likely than the opposite). It's so unfair to him that I want to cry.

The reason I am so mad is because I am really mad with myself. After game #23, I wasn't sure whether to play again. I talked with my wife (who smiled, as she already knew I would play no matter what). She asked how I will decide and I said that I will wait to see who joins and if so-and-so joins I will not. Then so-and-so joined and I joined nonetheless.

I, of course, thought that it might have something to do with you wanting to kill a power-role townie.

If CSPVG is lynched, I of course hope that he flips scum. If he does, with probably only one scum left, I am sure the town will easily manage without me. However, when I then flip town, I urge everybody not to consider the fact that Robbeasy managed to spot two scum in two days as an indication of innocence. Au contraire, nobody is that good a player.

BTW, if CSPVG is lynched and flips town, I promise not to use it as an argument against you. As someone who has done his share of mislynches in game #23, I know that town as often as not guesses wrong. However, I will not think of it as an indication of innocence either.
