It wasn't exactly a ploy... I was kind of roleplaying a townie at that point. I only started strategising after Titanium was lynched. =D

I didn't vote for nmillar at that point because there wasn't any reason to... Much better to let the townies do the lynching, don't you think? :P

I really enjoyed that and look forward to joining in future games (but not the next one, I have things that keep calling me away from internet connection). I hope to be a townie next time, it seems more challenging.

Mafia MVP: Eyeball - He managed to stay under the radar (through posting non-content, which no one called him on) for most of the game, and unlike his two mafia buddies, he did not falter under a bit of pressure.

Town MVP: Damnation - Although his play suffered a bit towards the end, it was consistently good throughout. His arguments were mostly logical and made sense, and he managed to cut through a lot of the crap that was floating around.

Congrats to Damnation by the way, you pretty much had me figured out. Although I was telling the truth about the =/. It really was because it was painful to watch. :P

Oh my, you really screwed it up. And it was looking so good after Titanium's lynch. Why did you let pass nolynch next day? It was so painful to watch it. And I think you tried to complicate matters too much. There were two biiiiig suspects, two days for lynch and you start messing with some wild theories and speculations. (Yeah I know that's what this game is about but still...)
I also blame GoJays. You acted too carfully in last two days. It was mostly between you and eyeball and you never voted him or anyone and only person you have voted was you, knowing you'll end the game, though only one townie voted you in this time and you had six days to convince remaining townies to vote someone else.
Also I'd like to note I consider nmillar MVP. I admit most of his assumptions were wrong but he was criticall in lynching both mafias. But his biggest contribution was he managed to keep discussion alive and going.

P.S. Gongratulation to mafia and especially eyeball. Your fake job is so fitting considering you murdered four people. :-)

Yeah I was so close to lynching myself the day of the nolynch before somebody unvoted me, then I couldn't do it anymore. Ah we probably would have won if I placed the last vote and wasn't there on the last day to cloud judgement. Guess I was a little too chicken to commit virtual suicide when I had the chance.
True. Not voting Titanium and missing GameRager's lynch due to work (I definitely would have voted for him considering FoolalooF/GameRager was pretty much my #1 suspect) really did me in.
I also seriously doubt I could have convinced them to vote for anyone else because 1) They were already pretty set on me 2) I really had no exonerating evidence and 3) I wasn't pointing at the right man anyway. At that point all I could do was delay the inevitable, so I didn't see the point in continuing anymore.

Congrats! I was totally suspecting GoJays when there were 5 left. Glad I wasn't there to fail, but it was fun to read and follow along. :) I was inspired enough that I went over to the Mafiascum website to join and play a bit too hehe.

Town lost mainly because of two things, I think.
a) The cop declared (through roleplay I think?) Which is fine by itself, except for b) below,
b) The doc didn't protect the cop Night 1. Probably due to inexperience of the roles/the game at large though, more than anything else. Doc's #1 priority is always to find the cop (in a basic game, if there is a cop) and protect him so the cop can investigate and clear/condemn people. Once the cop fell the town's victory chance plummeted. Got worse after the doc then croaked.
c) Ok 3 things. That no lynch on Night 5 hurt a lot after Town had regained momentum by lynching 2/3 mafia. But town folks wouldn't know the math behind that either without having looked up the game theory.

Also you're not really supposed to RP, in the sense that you're supposed to hide your town power roles as the Mafia will kill them the moment they find/guess them! Besides the MVPs, I liked nmillar's play and flavour too though. :) And the general activity of the people that were active when alive!

I've been watching this game since the beginning. It was loads of fun, and the ending was completely unexpected. I must confess, eyeball had me completely fooled because how well he played at confusion in the last day. Congratulations mafia, and thanks for an enjoyable read!

The no vote on the penultimate night was a mistake. It was fairly obvious that either Gojays or Eyeball was the last mafioso, so a sensible course of action would have been to vote for one of those, then the other last night.

Damn, I knew I should not have listened to GoJays' arguments for why eyeball was innocent! I was actually thinking about voting for him before you presented that :( But congrats nontheless, still well played, eyeball ;)

And about the MVP, I think nmillar deserves it - he did play the pivoltal role in Titanium's downfall and in GameRager's reveal.

You want painful??? You should try watching after you get lynched by mistake on the second night!!!

Congrats to eyeball, an dwell done to Damnation for Town MVP - about the only Townie to see there was no real reason to be lynching me second day...

I wish I had more experience with these things, then I'd offer to run one, but I'd only make a right balls up of it...praps in the future when I've done a few more..

As I said earlier, if some one wants to host a game, and want some help, either PM me or look me up on Steam. That said, I would normally suggest having 2-3 games under ones belt before hosting.

If there are no takers, I'll start signups for another game in two days or so.

@Robbeasy: I was very disappointed to see you get lynched when you did, as at the time you were pretty much the only player making any kind of sense, while the rest of the town (no offense) ran around like headless chickens.

Just finally, in the towns defence, yesterdays nolynch wasn't really intentional. We all just missed the deadline due to RL commitments (apart from myself, who simply forgot, tho I was watching a Due South repeat on BBC iplayer, tho it was from the later series when it wasn't as good so I suppose that's no excuse)

Good game everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. And well done to Zchinque, who managed to keep the game going despite some slow patches.

That was part of the problem. You all started to look for mafia everywhere while after last events obvious sespects were you and eyeball. Thus you should focus on eyeball instead looking at everybody but him.

Thanks for good game people I enjoyed it and will likely participate in another one.
