For the first point : I think spf referred to amok's earlier claim of sniffing truth, or something like that. Check chronology ?
For the second point : One thing that had struck me is that nmillar looked all "convinced" that I was mafia, and when I went "okay lynch me and if I flip town lynch him", he didn't look so keen on it. I mean, when Pazzer made his "case" on you, you immediately suggested something similar. When a townie is sure of a player's guilt, especially at the beginning of the game, self-sacrificing (or accepting to be lynched) in order to be confirmed town, and to take down the alternative in the next night, is what I expect. And I wouldn't expect that from a mafioso (except in some manipulative "dare"). What I'm getting at is that, if Nmillar was town, I think he would have gone "okay, or lynch me and if I flip town then lynch him". Or at least "okay, lynch me the next day if he flips town". Especially with the level of certitude he was showing...
