Hmm, I was thinking of changing my vote to Robbeasy anyway. The case he's been pushing is dodgy and he won't reply to my questions, maybe now he will?

To be fair, given my usual rate of activity it might not be long before you could do that anyway. :P

Anyway, I'd better try and see if I can make sense of the current situation, as it seems once again we're already getting into the swing of things just as I turn up. I'd say give me a moment, but quite frankly it's 12:30 and I'd like to get some sleep first. :)

My votes are cast at random, because I have no reason NOT to suspect anyone - and what may be construed as bandwagon-jumping is in fact me looking up to my virtual elders because it's a given they have a better idea of who is generally suspicious around here.

Right now the only person I know is not a mafioso is myself. Just your friendly neighborhood paranoid fella here, who also finds it highly disturbing that the guy that could save our lives was the first one to bite it.

OT: I was able to read this thread by reading different. It was white, I even had reply here, but I read other thread first and when I returned to General Discussion this thread was already gray and without reply.
The bold/underlined statement "helps us in no way right now." and yet you still made the assertion there are only two scum and a serial killer. Why are you setting things up like this?? You aren't stupid and so I must presume your plan to put a serial killer in the game must have a reason. You move back and forth with theories. You interject things and then say they aren't really important. Sounds to me like you are playing the long game and setting things up for later.

I'm not going to vote you for now, but this does make you look very suspect in my eyes.

At this point in day one, when at least a few different conversations have take place, you should be able to come up with at least one person that you find suspicious, and give us reasoning as to why you find them so.

Furthermore, the idea that anyone should know who is '...generally suspicious around here.' is fallacious. Each of these mafia games is an independent event, therefore each mafia team is an independent event. So it is useless to speculate whom the guilty party is in this game, based on experience of how said party played in a previous game.

Moving on:

Also, and this is off-topic, but I forgot to congratulate you on your new job.

In general: I'm a bit baffled by the fact that we're still talking about Vitek's role-claim. I only brought it up, as I had my grumpy serious pants on that day. It now seems fairly innocuous to me.

In closing, I think it's about time for a thread re-read.

That is just ridiculous. He clearly says it as part of his his dismissal of the idea. With the way you're both trying to cook up dodgy cases against Vitek I wonder if you're on then same team?

Twice now I've asked you to elaborate on your accusation of backtracking. If I had cause to backtrack, what was my initial motivation for 'accusing him' of being mafia role blocker? Your case seems to be built on the assumption that I'm scum with Vitek, in which case what exactly was the motivation for me bringing attention to Vitek's 'genuine' softclaim and then backtracking on that by saying it was a joke? This is where your case doesn't make any sense to me.

Again I'm asking why he said zombie in reference to the doctor and he denies saying it. What's the issue?? Can't I ask him to tell the same story twice?? I'm not concerned with the whole soft-claim thingy. I saw his slip referring to town as if he were an outsider and I asked him. I'm surprised he hasn't denied saying that as well!!!

Right, but you were calling the zombie thing his "theory". It's pretty clear that it's not a theory, it's a dismissal. I also don't see him directly denying saying anything about zombies, he said:

...which is completely true. He was dismissing it as crap and he doesn't deny mentioning zombies.

Now I don't deny that there are a couple of things that Vitek has done that can be interpreted as suspicious (especially together), but he's quite clearly not denying the things you say he is.
