JMich: Were there reasons posted for this vote that I missed, or is it a vote out of the blue?
I forgot to justify it, I'll have to post later as I'm about to leave for a few hours.
avatar
Vitek: I don't think I follow. How does it mean there are no neutrals? There most likely are not, but how does mod flipping town proves it?
avatar
QuadrAlien: I admit it's rather tenuous logic at best, and hardly what I'd call proof - it's just that if there were going to be any neutral roles I'd have expected the mod to be one of them - if the mod was wanting to put in only two sides without third party roles, they might just then assign their hidden role to one of them.

I should probably stop trying to second-guess Zchinque, though.

...

(considers revoting Zchinque just in case, but decides against it)

And apologies for my delay in getting proper thoughts together, everyone - I keep forgetting that when I'm finally ready to put my thoughts together for the evening that my wireless connection at home has a tendency to break with alarming frequency. I really must look into that.
I still do not see out Mod as neutral. Sinister puppet master perhaps, but I'm a long way away from neutral.

Allow me.

Zchinque: ................<snippy>...................

«Who are you?»

The stranger doesn't answer. He's a thin, pale character, wearing all black, sitting in a dark corner. He stares blankly into the air in front of him, giving no indication he has heard SirPrimalform's question at all.

More of you gather around the stranger. «Oy!» GhostQlyph gives a light kick to the stranger's feet, «He asked you a question.»

«Fools.» The stranger still has the same empty expression in his eyes. His voice is flat, he sounds almost bored.

«Fools.» he repeats as he gets up.

«You don't see, do you? You don't understand what is happening. Oh, to be so blind, so ignorant. You are all...»

SirPrimalform has had enough. He lunges at the stranger, delivering a mighty punch to the back of his head. The stranger falls head first on the pavement. JoeSapphire and amok both gives him a kick to the head.

The sun has set. The stranger lies lifeless on the floor. You all prepare to go get some much needed sleep.

A hollow laughter. The stranger gets up and dusts himself off. There's not a scratch on him.

«You think you can hurt me? Your naivety is truly... charming. It is because of me that you're here. I brought you all here. No, I made you. I am your god!

«And now,» he goes over to SirPrimalform and pinches his cheek, «I'm going home.»

«This game is over.»
Not exactly babysitter material, but quite indicative of current healthcare system. (Wifey is a nurse.)

i don't like the lie detector question thing from yesterday, it seems like all it was Going to do was expose townies with post restrictions. the question was "do we have townies with a post restriction forcing them to lie?". i see no reason to expose them. the Ensemble of shaows also seems like an attempt to manipulate the town. i don't Think twilightbard is scum but i am suspicious of his ensemble of shaows story.

i'm not sure what to do now, Too Bad.

Do you think he could have faked the Ensemble and send it to himself?

Easily, although I've no idea how Zchinque would feel about that...

That's a lot of effort to do though, especially for how in general it would bite me in the ass outside the game. I thought it was done to avoid being caught as the person with the post restriction at first, so I threw it out in the open.
Dammit. Not again. :(

I'll reconstruct this and the previous votecount in a bit.

Wait. You don't think he is scum but you voted him and think that he is faking ensemble story? Why don't you think he is scum if he is faking it? Why is he faking it if he is not scum?

This is ugly case of not calling someone scum while you thorw some suspicion on him to not comitt yourself too much.

Vote SirPrimalform.

Hmm, perhaps I need to reconsider that then. I think I've stumbled on two members of the scumteam then - vote Vitek.
Flubbucket: No, I don't think that the theme of the television show we all watched was about Joe's night action. It was about SPF, and the fact that he was not targeted during the night phase. What I meant to suggest in post 286 was that Joe's night action was to discern whether or not someone had been targeted, and then to broadcast it to the rest of us.

I know that's a little far fetched, but I was simply trying to find an explanation for why all of us received( or claim to have received) a PM about another player.

SirPrimalForm: I'm not pleased with your vote and unvote on TwilightBard. Why did you vote for TwilightBard, and then unvote when you had an actual justification( in post 303). I'm also slightly bemused by your manner of typing in post 303, the jumble of upper and lower case letters doesn't seem like your normal typing style.

Vitek: Having thought about it, asking a more specific variant of TwilightBard's question may not be all too helpful at the moment. It would seem far too much like role fishing.

Zchinque: Why did you remove the votecount in post 294? Also, will player Zchinque get a prod if he exceeds the usual post time frame?

Sorry I've been away guys, been forcing a sleep-reset and pushing myself over the edge on this project.

Glad to see that VItek went stark raving mad. I'm not even going to expand on all the problems with what he said, it seems like he can't let a post go by without pounding on the table and howling like a rabid animal now. Seems he likes to harp on things not addressed to him, too! Anyone should see that as scumplay. My vote stands.

---

TwilightBard, you misunderstand -- I wasn't saying that we HAD a deadline. WE DIDN'T. But no one but me and Krypsyn even were pointing at amok, and literally EVERYONE missed his scumplay where he decided to manipulate a player by the (at the time, potential) post restriction. There was absolutely no way I was going to deflate the Zchinque wagon for my superior target -- someone else would have hammered it and my work would have been pointless, and I ACTUALLY WANTED HIM OUT OF THE GAME.

The "deadline" thing came from the post where I was talking about WHY WE SHOULD NOT. NOT. NOT. HAVE LYNCHED THE MOD SO LONG AS THERE IS A BETTER TARGET.

Allow me to reiterate.

YOU ARE CHERRYPICKING INFO FROM MY ARGUMENTS AGAINST LYNCHING THE MOD.

YOU ARE APPLYING IT TO MY EXPLANATION OF WHY I DID IT ANYWAY.

THAT IS DUMB.

They're two entirely separate pieces of information. They cannot simply be stuck in a blender. They must be the slices of bread in the sandwich of "ghostqlyph's opinions and actions toward the mod". One explains why I DID NOT WANT TO. (This was before the wagon was reasonably sized, too.) The other explains why I ended up doing it anyway.

---

That is CLEVER, SPF. Quadr, DAMNED good job finding that (I'm too tired for my own good).
I'm not ready to say scum, however. Maybe he's activating a daypower, or following an uneven post restriction of some sort, or even both.

I'm keeping an eye on it though. If he goes erratic, I have a full scumteam decided on.

He did? when did he do that?

CSPVG: Zchinque: Why did you remove the votecount in post 294?
When making the next votecount, I edited it into post 294 rather than make a new post. 'twas a simple mistake.
Also, will player Zchinque get a prod if he exceeds the usual post time frame?
Dead players do not get prodded.
Poking dead things with a stick, quite the guilty pleasure.
