I'm starting this to propose a new activity here at GOG; a Let's Play thread. What's a Let's Play, you ask? A Let's Play (or a LP for short) is a documented playthrough of a game, weather it's for information akin to an actual walkthrough, or more commonly, for humor. They come in screenshot and video format and are accompanied by a funny story or humorous commentary.
Sometimes a LP is totally author-driven and sometimes there's voting done so the audience can determine the direction of the game. For some examples, check out the Let's Play Archive (www.letsplayarchive.com) where you'll find an Oregon Trail LP featuring user voting, British super spies and the burning of entire forts. There's also a surprisingly readable, terrifyingly DARK LP called "The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing".
So I'm suggesting we bring this entertainment to GOG! I've been wanting to do one for a while and I'd like to start with an SNES title. Though I'd also love to see other users crafting their own, maybe even from titles we have here at GOG, like a user-run play of Fallout or some hilarious commentary about the Prince's nightmarish romp through the trap-filled palace in Prince of Persia.
But it's up to you guys. Sound fun? Yes, no, maybe so?
We've had one before.
We did have one before, but effort on both the player and the suggesters was low so it did not get much done.
Plenty more people in the community now if you want to try, and you can always set a blog/youtube-account and slowly gain followers.
What about a game from the catalogue here? A good idea, as most* of us are here for this type of catalogue.
*yes, sorry for using that word

FatalKitsune: Blah blah blah

I've been wanting to but I cannot find a decent video recording software... i had PlayClaw from Giveaway A Day however I lost that when i installed Win7. It was good because it used multiple cores so you could play at normal speed... However was only for Direct X 9+ I think.

I tried my best, and I know there's a following, but there's not much of a response outside of the occasional "interesting". Time was also an issue.
I've been considering to jump on the youtube-channel watch-me-play bandtrain but honestly it's just all been done before, and I doubt too many people are interested in sitting around watching me play GoGs.

Yeah, sorry I don't mean to be critical :)
You're not the only one here to give it a shot though, lets-play and similar styled games have been attempted here, sadly or not, they often don't progress much here. I still think it can be done, but everything needs to click in place for it to work.
