Now i don't know what the Deal is with GOG...
But as far as the name is (Good old games)...
I feel as if they are slowly diverting from that path...
Witcher 2 aint freaking old game.
Neither would i say Arma (gold) is...

Whats the Deal with GoG?

Also... lately all the cool games (in my opinion) i have gotten of late seems to be "Hacked" versions of the original... like POD (Gold) ...

Can someone please tell me wtf happened to the old games?
And can someone tell me why GOG only has shitty cracked games which hardly works?

Maybe i have just been unlucky with my purchases and gotten the games that GOG could not "fix" - But then why would they even try?

Why aren't GOG just "selling" the original CD? or at least let people have the option to download an ISO of the original CD so they can burn it and enjoy the GOG... instead of those 2nd class cracked games??

Do i sound annoyed? well maybe i am a bit... now i won't demand money back , because i know that won't happen anyways... what i do demand is at least be given a freaking explanation to their actions...

Also don't tell me to calm down, if i do, i'll fall asleep... all i want is some answers to GOGs activities...
Dude, there is like so many old, good games that they can release. Better they release new, good games, than old, crappy ones.

Until you start signing their paychecks (i.e. by becoming a shareholder) you really don't have much of a say in how a company runs its own business :P
.....they should have released nomad soul instead.....

The CD you burn most likely won't work. That's why they crack the games. -_-;
The Witcher series is developed by the people behind GOG - as to my knowledge..

and yeah

calm down dude
Some of the games do seem a bit new (games that won't work on my netbook O_O) but The Witcher 2 was a one off and they said as much.... it was because they're part of CD Projekt & also I think partly because they wanted to show that DRM free games still sell loads (as only the GOG version was DRM free.) Other than that, you could still class games that are 5 years+ as old I guess, but then people tend to think Chronologically with GOG... X game is older than Y game so why release Y game first when people want X game? It doesn't work like that though. If the games are too new for you then at least you're saving money ;).
Oh, come on. Two/three weeks ago we had LBA 1&2, Darklands and BS4. The latter may not be considered a proper GOG, but the rest were certainly great releases. I see nothing wrong by populating the game library with some newer games. You may even discover something you like and missed at release.

So, to everyone that thinks GOG has betrayed its calling, remember this: There are always new publishers coming to GOG and the ones that are here, have a large backlog to release. Plus, you'd get bored if always got the equivalent of Monkey Island for example.

I don't care how old the games are, I love Witcher 2 as much as I love BG2. If I can have both in the same library without annoying DRM, great support and free goodies - power to gog.com!
Like previously said, there's only so much games to be released, and lots of them are already present in the archive.

There's nothing wrong releasing a "younger" game and then a few classics. Keeps content fresh, and prices down on fairly recent games (Witcher 2 is quite cheap, but I have to machine for it. :).

I came here (this is my first post, actually, so: Hi!) because of the classics. I have a few games on physical form (I'd love to be able to add them to my shelf, actually, maybe one day a store comes that allows us to convert our physical copies for digital downloads, like sending the cds to the store for a download code...)

The game catalog is quite varied. I hope to buy a few games here. :p
Ganglands was released last week, I intend to buy it at some point when I have money to burn... Even if the site gets populated with newer games or Indie games I don't care, GoG is my service of choice due to the extras and of course the lack of DRM meaning I can back my games up so I can just install from a disk instead of eating my bandwidth.
Hrm, so a couple of newer games [less than 5 I believe] and all of the sudden GoG is on the path of no return?

Odd how people think.

eyeliner: (this is my first post, actually, so: Hi!)
Welcome. :-)
Oh my lord, one new game out of like 400! The whole site is doooooooomed!

As for cracks, I honestly couldn't care less how they get the games working DRM free on Win7. I use cracks myself when old games act up due to copy protection or DRM. Never had a problem running a GOG game either.
