Every one is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody--Mark Twain

To the Moon, the heart-touching indie phenomenon that takes you on a trip inside a person's mind, is discounted by 60% on GOG.com for the next 24 hours!

All you ever hear is that you should live your life to the fullest, so once you're nearing its end you'll be able to look back at it with no regrets. Wise words, but honestly: to err is human and that amazing thing called life doesn't really come with a comprehensive user-manual. So after a lifetime of trial and error we often find ourselves wishing to go back and correct at least some of our mistakes. This is a story of a dying man full of regret and an two scientists who dared to venture into the depths of his mind to give him another chance. Doing that, they will become witnesses to his amazing--and amazingly human--memories.

To the Moon is a uniqe indie adventure with lots of original puzzles and nostalgic SNES-era RPG aesthetics. The gameplay focuses on exploration of a vast world supported only by a dying man's fading memories. All of the interaction focuses on restoring and altering those pale fragments, filtering out the false ones, and--ultimately--allowing the patient to re-live a perfected version his live in his mind.

How far will you go to make a dying man's last wish possible? You can even go To the Moon, for only $3.99 until Thursday, September 20 at 10:59 AM GMT.
I already own it but I advise everybody who don't to buy it. It's really short so maybe not worth the retail price but with the promo it's a must buy. :)

timppu: Hmm, if that is true, I'm wondering what was Fred's motive to claim something like that? Or is there some conflicting information out there?
No, just a typical sarcastic comment he pass for every indie release (will be in a bundle) or a new game release (got it on steam). Btw, it's more likely to see it in an indie royale bundle...

About game: While the game is on my wishlist I'm still not sure if I really want it. What I know so far it's a interesting story, but watching some videos on youtube and the trailer I got very fast annoyed by the music and the whole art style (don't know how do describe it better). It's maybe a little bit too sentimental for me.

Off my wishlist, into my backlog. The question of when I'm going to have time to play the games in my backlog is, unfortunately, an open one.

cich: It's an RPG Maker game, so porting it to Linux/Mac is impossible.
Not impossible at all though a Cider wrapper is probably prohibitively expensive for an indie.
Though i bought this game from developer's site i will buy from here too for a drm'less different good game. The version from developer's site has an online activation you must use before playing the game.

This thing is like three to four hours long even if you take your time. Set aside one evening and there you go, game completed.
Looked at it but dont think ill get it. Bought FTL yesterday and that has me hooked.
Bought it and will play it tonight. I really hope for a deep experience. We'll see about that...
Also bought but I'm angry at myself that I've just paid for an RPG Maker game.

That seems to be the consensus; maybe I'll play it this very evening, in fact.
To the Moon is basically a Visual Novel made with RPG Maker, right? Are there multiple endings with player choices mattering, or is it just a linear story?
