Stuff: I have never had problems with the site over the years. I believe the site was hyjacked once but the exploit was removed soon after AFAIK. I have always considered them to be a legitimate source for manuals as they remove manuals when requested by the IP holders.

Others may have more recent info concerning the site but my experience with them has always been positive.

SpiderFighter: Thanks; actually a lot of the docs listed on the mix are from Replacement Docs. :)

And my experience with the site is the same as Stuff's; I've never had a problem with anything I've downloaded from there.
Thanks to both of you. I'm still skeptical of the site but at least a bit less. Like some other PDF manuals from an unsafe source I will still only open them up in a virtual machine. Thumbs up for the project Spider!

Thanks for the kind words and the help! I do actually link a few games on the Mix to Game Pressure; it's a useful site. Free Game Manuals, unfortunately, doesn't have any manuals for PC games, but I'll keep an eye on it in case they get some. I should caution, though, that the French site launched a pop up that wanted me to install malware, and completely locked up Chrome (which I've never had happen before). I had to force close it using Task Manager.

I hope you continue to find the Mix useful!

This. I have been using replacement docs for years, and never once had a problem with any of the downloads.

It was very strange. The site was fine until I clicked on one of the alphabetical links, then the pop-up appeared.

Steam is a good place to get game manuals. Unlike GOG they're freely available even if you don't buy the game. However I just checked and saw that the Age of Wonders manual were dead links, so reported it.
