On topic:
If anything, the wiki should contain tutorials on getting the games to run, links to mods, links to official and fan websites, GOG product links, and so on.
Agreed... though if the person bought it from GOG then getting it to run shouldnt be much of an issue but a tech section would be good.

reaver894: Would we not need permission from GOG to do this.

Id be happy to help, im not a writer but ive been proof reading and adjusting uni essays for years (6 to be precise and i havent even been to uni)
Putting gog in the name would probably be over the line, but at least in the US you can use a trademark for the purposes of referring to the trademarked item.

I suspect that the main issue is going to be making it adequately clear that the wiki is not sanctioned or funded by Mr. Gog.

Also this is something I've been considering for a while because of the Linux compatibility issues not being properly addressed here due to the games not being supported by Mr. Gog.
If reviews were a feature of the wiki, they should be separate from the articles for games.

GogPM has GOG in the name, and that's fine. I can't believe that the GOG staff would frown upon such a project and want to disavow themselves of it, to be honest.

What I mean is that for something to use the gog in the name they would be risking being asked to change the name.
A gog wiki would be nice. We should organize solutions to issues in games on the wiki too.

I specifically remember saying in #GOG when we first made it that your idea of a wiki was awesome.

I may have not been present, either physically on IRC or psychically on IRC. That reminds me, I should take a peek on IRC, see if there are still people or just bots. Or evil.

I can confirm all three.
It was done but nothing really happened with it:

I brought up the idea of Neoseeker partnering with GOG for it and they said they were interested but nothing came of that either.

Note to self: Don't use links that advertise erotic classics.
Aww, they're not free here, I have to pay 1 NOK. :(
