Anyone mentioned that the BG2 soundtrack is incomplete? A fake ToB soundtrack was uploaded when the game was released, then was removed, and since then we're stuck with the vanilla version's soundtrack.
One of the reviews of stonekeep mentions a novella of 120 pages, that came with the game, but isn't awailable.
Realmyst has zero content. Could we at least get a manual?
I just reinstalled Tropico Reloaded and played both games for a few minutes. I see no problems at any step of the process. Installs OK, videos working, games play flawlessly. Just an FYI.

Also note: my PC has a DVD drive, so I guess the problem wouldn't have materialised anyway, now that I read more about it. Still, one more confirmation can't hurt.

I can just add it for the sake of clarity.

Technically, GoG is not advertising the Gold Edition of the game. Also, I haven't seen any reports that this is a ripped version of the GE w/o the DD expansion. Privateer is the correct version, but it looks like it has the expansion hacked out of it.

First off, excellent topic! Thank you to the people who took time to compile this.

I want to propose an addition to the "DOS Vs. Windows or Floppy Vs. CD-ROM or Version variations" section: Earth 2140 Trilogy.

The version on GOG.com is the XP version, which contains both inferior sound and crippled AI. While the original DOS version had challenging AI, the XP version's AI doesn't build units, attack, or anything, making the game boring and uninteresting to play.

There may be a way to fix the sound, but the AI has not been fixed as far as I know. If GOG.com could include the DOS version along with the XP version, all 2140 fans would be incredibly grateful!

I know you guys are a small company, so please address this when you can, and keep up the great work!

Not sure whether anyone would count this or not, but RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe is the US localisation where they changed things like ride names. Given that Chris Sawyer is british, the UK version would be the original.
I only made one entry for Wing Commander 1 + 2. I am sure there are other changes, but I have been very busy and not reading as much on here. Please post if you have anything new to add or remove.
"Might & Magic I-VI LE - There are CD versions of Might & Magic 4 and 5 (Worlds of Xeen) with full voice acting for all the NPCs, but the versions on GOG don't contain it. "

is that true?

if yes it would require hitting tpb whenever i decide to play those games.

That was the original posting back in 2009. There are various solutions to get those versions working fine in DOSBOX. As far as I know, GoG has yet to address this.

The verson of Dungeon Keeper that was available right after release includes "deeper.exe" which was removed shortly thereafter, so it may indeed be the GE with DD cut out of it.

I did not know that. I just edited it to make it more ambiguous. :-)
