Ah yes the "Good ol days". Where patches had to be downloaded long distance with 9.6/19.2k modems off of BBS's.
Anyone care to install MS Office on windows 3.1 ? what was it, 23 floppies ? Now THAT was painful :D

Especially when floppy #22 was the one that had stuffed up in the way that all floppies seem to.
DVDs & large single file downloads are the only good ways to handle installation options. People used to bitch about not wanting software to come out on DVD because they didn't want to upgrade their computer (with a DVD drive which was remarkably cheap even back then) to install software. I always used to trot out a fake demand for games to be released on floppy instead, I seem to recall writing an indignant demand that GTA San Andreas come out on 3125 floppies instead of a single DVD...

Would you like that in 5.25 in. floppies or 3.5 in. floppies?? Choose wisely!

I'm 21, almost 22. Most of these games I have never played before coming here.

An indicator of age or an indicator of income? :(
I've bought 1 game off here, and gotten 3 for free.
I plan to buy more in the coming months, when I have the money.

Too modern. Let's have them on 8" floppies. :)

To hell with that ....punch cards please!
I've already posted this once, but it seems that a repost is in order by now.
I think some of you are misunderstanding the question. What the OP is asking, is "Out of the games that GOG currently sells, how many do you already own from other sources?"
So the question is not how many games have you bought from GOG, but rather how many games haven't you bought from GOG, because you owned them already?

Just release the source code in a hardback book, and let people type it in themselves.
Oooh, anyone besides me remember going to the library and borrowing books of C64 BASIC games that you had to type in yourself? :-D

Nope.
But I remember this:
1. Put tape in tape drive.
2. Boot up the C64
3. Type the related DOS like command
4. Fast forward the tape drive and watch the tape counter widget.
5. Watch pretty light show on TV screen.
6. Play game.
That usually took about 5-10 minutes. And we say that games have such horrible loading times now!
Browsing the games available on GOG, I found it would be quicker to tell you the GOG games I DON'T own! I am a 20 year PC gamer and have discovered, only by looking back, that I pre-knew which games would be classics by buying them when they weren't yet!
GOG games NOT owned:
INSANE
Descent 1 and 2
The Earthworm Jim games
Flatout
Kingdom of the Far Reaches
MDK 1 and 2
Patrician 3
Redneck Rampage
Sensible Soccer
Simon the Sorcerer
TOCA Rally Drivr
Unreal Gold
Unreal Tournament
Waxworks
You can see by the GOG games I don't own that I DO own the upper crust of GOG games, like the Fallout, Freespace and Jaggd Alliance series.
