This is what I was talking about: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-07-01-the-witcher-battle-arena-is-a-f2p-moba-for-mobile

Tarm: Competitive FPS have freaking destroyed the FPS market for everyone except screaming ADHD asshole helicopter parented kids or hardcore competitive gamers.

NO.
NO NO.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Foclock.215: Why does everyone have to conclude that I'm speaking about Halo or Call of Duty? I loved Call of Duty 1 and 2 for its simplicity, as well as Halo 1, might I add.

But, I'm speaking about something similar that all these great games shared, simplicity.

I'm speaking of a shooter that is simple, straightforward, and can both have a competitive and casual scene.
Because as soon as you say Competitive FPS that's the way the majority of them are. Now if we can get the old Battlefield games or Battlefront (Star Wars.) here integrated into Galaxy I'd be overjoyed. :)

Vast majority of FPS games aren't competitive in any way.

In which universe?

Oh, I apologize then.

I know MOBA's are quite popular, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea for The Witcher series.

Would it help if I say Online Multiplayer? I'm into the Beer tonight so mistakes are going to be made.
I think I get your point, but in that case the title needs the word 'exclusive' after "have a".

There's nothing competitive about the newer Call of Duty games or Battlefield games, at least not in my eyes. I guess search and destroy would be a suitable option, but still.

In any case, an FPS offered by GOG that has both a competitive and a casual scene, would be very welcoming to many people.

It's the word Competitive I've hung up on. If that part of the game is optional and not too intrusive I'm ok with your idea.

I'm not sure whether to agree or not. It can be serviced by GOG, but it doesn't have to be a GOG exclusive. As long as it has free-DRM with an offline mode, I would be happy.

Sorry but what is free-DRM? The term itches my funny bone. :)

I meant to say DRM-free.

"A big crowd outside a government building with lots of flag waving with flags saying: DRM have rights too!"
-Free DRM! Free DRM! Free DRM! Freedom for DRM!

Sorry. I'm getting Beer silly.
I would stick with something simple and classic like Unreal Tournament...

I love that game.
