BJWanlund: That's a fair point, but I'm going on the assumption that the magic clue and the "finest" clue are two wholly separate clues until TET tells us otherwise.

BadDecissions: If GOG seriously got something like Lucasarts, I think we'd get something more than a vague reference to "magic." When Square-Enix came aboard, they sure weren't shy about trumpeting that they had a major new publisher on board.
Also, it *is* a couple of weeks out from when they say that the big thing is coming, so maybe they'll start trumpeting about a week beforehand if they do have anything megaton huge.

"video-gaming magic"

Magicka confirmed :)
Who will revolt if the biggest change in the GOG service turns out to be DRM? hahaha
Looks like we'll be getting a press conference. More info at http://www.dsogaming.com/news/incoming-details-about-cd-projekt-reds-cyberpunk-game-special-surprise-for-the-witcher-2-modders/
SPOILERS

Speaking of new operating systems, GOG will also be announcing that it is bringing the best PC games from throughout history to a new operating system.
That’s not all of the news that GOG has planned for the Special Event, however: they will also be showcasing several new releases as well as giving gamers a unique chance to get some of the greatest classic games ever made for a literally unbeatable price.

This is getting ridiculous.
Hey, GOG! Didn't you notice you have your own website?
You know, they have more than 3 weeks to make this announcement.

Hm, I'll avoid getting my hopes up, as the announced releases at the Summer conference thingy were a bit disappointing. I'm most curious to see who the new indie guys are. I do love DoubleFine and would like to see them here, but their PC catalogue is kind of sparse... Hmm.

Sure, they do. But they are currently leaking press releases all over the place except for the one site where you'd expect them.

My explanation would be that they're probably busy preparing new front page graphics that will really get the hype going. It just wouldn't be a GOG conference without that.

Countdown timer with a row of game boxes that have question marks on them.
GOG got where they are because they earned it. Unlike a number of other companies in the game industry, they actually show respect to their customers, which is why they keep coming back. I wouldn't be surprised if that's also part of the reason Nintendo did well with the Wii. I hope GOG will be able to get various companies that are using the online pass to change their way (mainly Sony) one day.

You had me at "countdown timer"...

Who doesn't love a good site-crashing timer?! :D

With my new tablet, I would love if they made the games available on Android.

If it is "a literally unbeatable price" then that means free, right? So more free titles on gog.com either temporarily or permanently. Wonder if this will be games like C&C, GTA, Battlezone, etc. that are already available elsewhere.

Maybe they'll become a subscription service with monthly free games. xD
What will we receive ?

1. New publisher(s)
2. Four new release on every Tuesday and Thursday :p
3. Forum update ( search engine sucks )
4. Heavy Metal - F.A.K.K.² , SiN , Elvira's Horror Pack :p
