Bumpity-bump
I know the FAQ needs updates, but it seems that we are getting a lot of questions posted lately that are already answered here. If anyone has any suggestions for changes/additions, please feel free to post them.
Yes, but all of those recent questions could easily be answered with a quick look around the forum and website. Has any other forum found a way to deal with this problem? If they refuse to read what is plainly in front of them, what is to keep them from posting the same question? With every wave of new members we will find ourselves doing the same thing. A little while ago it was "OH MY GOD, TW2 HELP PLEAZ!!!" Such is internet.

So you would have us do nothing instead? While it is true that some people never read the stickies or search the forums, it is also true that many actually will do their due diligence before posting. Having a FAQ has proven in the past to be very effective at reducing the number repeat posts and questions by providing a place to get all those answers in a convenient form (it was actually very effective when GOG had it stickied, but they decided to remove it for some reason). We will never stop all of the repeat posts like the "Want this game nao!" threads, but we can limit them with minimal effort on our part.

I was just curious if there was a better way than bumping a FAQ thread when we already have one in the stickies (albiet circa '09). With the one General dump thread I guess our options are limited. The only fixes I can think of would require a mod so I'll just STFU.

Official stance on 'Can I share my game'/'do I need to purchase a second copy for multi-player experience?'
Added to section 2 (hmm, that one is getting a little big, I might have to break it up soon). Thanks!
