Well, this certainly exploded overnight. I'm not sure what to make of the bazilisek / Rodzaju situation, so I'm going to Unvote Rodzaju for now.

If both are telling the truth, then bazilisek would originally have been very dangerous to town - believing he was protecting people, but killing them instead. But, now the information is out, he effectively becomes a vigilante, so that's definitely a positive to come out of all this.

Or bazilisek could be a Mafia Doctor; JoeSapphire asked earlier if Rodzaju knew bazilisek's alignment, but he seems to have missed or ignored it.

I'm inclined to leave both alone for now, and see what happens when nightfall comes.

Good to see Cruward_Darkeyes come out of the woodwork at last, but there are a couple of more experienced players not posting very much at the moment; I think everyone's noticed Damnation's lack of contribution, but Vitek, QuadrAlien and TwilightBard have all been pretty quiet too.

If Baz really is a quack then we're not quite as screwed as I thought we were when he first claimed. Rod implies that we have another doctor (DO NOT BLOODY IDENTIFY THEM).

For myself, and this is only true if both are telling the truth, theres been good and bad come out of this...

1. If Baz is Indeed a quack Doc, then finding out now is an excellent move, and he becomes a sort of Vigilante Doc instead. I presume the power means that whoever he protects dies anyway, ONLY if targetted. If they die under his protection whether targetted or NOT, then it becomes VERY powerful!

2. Telling us theres more than one Doc is a bad thing I think - too much info.

3. The bandying about of names and info cant be good - who knows what powers the Mafia might have? It looks like there may be one or two 'different' roles out there, so I would advise caution at this stage of proceedings.

Of course, one or both might not be telling the whole truth, or ANY truth. I have to admit, if it were a Mafia ploy between them, its a damned convoluted one and doesnt really bear scrutiny. Easier for just ONE to be lying, and I'm uneasy that Rod picked up on Baz saying 'overworked', when Baz actually made it up.

In summary I think Rod may be telling the truth about role identifications in his PM.
Crucially, all of what has gone on does NOT tell us if either are Town or Mafia - theres no way we can be sure, but i suppose thats the game , innit..;o)

Something is still bothering me with the whole Rodzaju / bazilisek situation.

I was under the impression that Rodzaju agreed that revealing bazilisek as a power holder was a bad move. However, everyone seems so happy about it because they think Rodzaju identified bazilisek as a quack doctor.
So... Why did Rodzaju agree it was a bad move? It seems logical to stop bazilisek from using his power, or alternatively send the mafia on a goose chase. In a hindsight, I would have expected Rodzaju to defend his move (claiming L-4 is not defending your move).

Something smells funny here.

Let me just stress that this is something Rodzaju never actually did.

Oh, good grief, I'm now officially miles behind on posts. :P

Hmm... It's certainly not the best of starts, but then if I were to make any sense of his motives whatsoever, it would be that Rod chose Baz to be revealed due to him being the least "useful" of the doctors. Of course, this does mean that if Rod's telling the truth, there's at least one further person out there that can verify all this, but naturally it's something they must do under no circumstances, for reasons that I hope are already apparent.

However, while this is all very intriguing, I feel that the conversation being dominated by the roles of 2 players when we've got another 13 which will presumably contain Mafia members regardless of Rod and Baz's alignments is something of a problem. That said, I admit that part of the way of alleivating this would be to post more personally.

Oh, and sorry about the accusation earlier, Itai - it was my own misinterpretation of the meaning behind the sentence.

At this point, I would try and post more of my own reads, but I fear I have been pounced on by a kitten and it is becoming increasingly difficult to type. :P

Hmmmmm, so everything hit the fan since I last post, guess there's a few things to respond to finally.

@nmillar: I've been responding fine imo, the issue is that you guys to more rapid posts when I'm sleeping and thus, can't participate. I keep an odd schedule and the time difference doesn't always help.

And now, for the Rodzaju/Bas situation (As of current typing, GoG forums are being a bit...difficult, so I'm relying on my memory for doing this instead of exact posts). I question it, completely. It seems a bit too easy that Rodzaju not only came up with Bas' name, role, and a possible alteration that Bas probably wouldn't be aware of.

What do I mean? When a Cop is insane, paranoid, naive, he's generally not made aware of this, the same with a Doctor's alternate stuff. (In some cases, as I'm researching and writing this, they are though)

What does this mean in the grand scheme of things? I don't know. I'm still very nervous about him just coming out with the name, the player, and the role like that, because in it's own right it doesn't seem like a town thing to do, and if he's making the claim that Bas is a Quack Doctor based on flavor, who knows if it's being interpreted correctly. I find the whole thing to be very anti-town.

I'm going to wait for Grynn to post again before I switch my vote though, as I'm curious as to where that's going.

This is a very interesting theory, though it is excessively complex.

I'm not going to vote for him, but I have to say that Damnation's lack of activity is getting pretty ridiculous.
