The idea stems from two things I said at the end of #1397; it just took me a while to realise you can merge them together.
Whoever is giving nmillar the files clearly has access to the police database, and we know it's not NFY. Now what was it we have found in Orryyrro's basement?
And which nation is stereotypically portrayed as the "strong dumb type"? Russians, of course.

That is the idea. Nmillar is Orry's errand boy, the executive branch of the Shattered Hand mafia. Orry gives him instructions, nmillar carries them out.

What proof I have to support this theory is extremely fragmented, but it interlocks very nicely:

1. Nmillar claims to to have known Orry was scum from the very start (Oct 27). The breadcrumb, however, was only planted in post #354 (Nov 10). As I've been saying, this makes little sense. If you're town, and have confirmed information about scum, pretty much the only course of action is to share it immediately. Not hide it in a breadcrumb that is almost impossible to find (because it comes 14 days later than anyone could expect), and even when found is not easy to decode (see #1150-#1161). Why? Because as town, you win with town, even if you're dead. You can (and should) afford to risk your life with this information (especially if it's safe to assume there are protective roles around). Also, what if nmillar (presuming he is telling the truth) was nightkilled N1 and flipped "Town Vanilla", which he claims to be? Would anyone have bothered looking for a crumb? Of course not. And this extremely valuable information would be lost forever. If what I'm saying is true, however, it makes perfect sense: nmillar knows Orry is scum not because of some (rather unorthodox) whim of the mod, but because they're on the same team, and the crumb is intended as a fallback measure, and is deliberately designed to not be easy to spot.

2. (Assumption) Orry as the role cop shared his results with his scumbuddy nmillar at the start of each day. A traditional mafia role cop always has a delay of one full day before he can present his results to the rest of the crew; this is a possible way to overcome that, presumably due to the complexity of the setup in which every day counts.

3. I have compiled a list of what nmillar claimed to know/breadcrumbed and when. It looks like this:

You'll notice the timing of the TB crumb is even weirder than of the first one, almost a full month too late. Also, there's an information gap on day two, at the start of which nmillar claims to have received the file on Damnation (as per #1286). What I am driving at here is this: nmillar is obviously not giving us the information when it's fresh, but quite how long has he had it before he decided to share it? The schedule provided in #1286 may very well be a fabrication.

4. Nmillar chooses to give out the information in a very strange order, starting with Damnation. He first says Damn is town in #1109, Jan 13, and it takes a lot of persuasion (and 3 days RL time) to make him cough up the "vanilla town" info in #1136, Jan 16. And it takes some more persuasion before he finally gives us Orry (#1146/#1150, Jan 17). Why so late? Tentative answer: Orry's last post is dated Jan 9 (#1058). He's not coming back, might as well throw him under the bus?

5. A selection of nmillar quotes on Damnation:
I'm asking: where did the conclusion Damnation is vanilla come from, when nmillar isn't even quite sure if he's town or not, and why was it dropped so quickly? And let me echo SirPrimalform's #1139:

Question A: Isn't it odd to give a job like that to a foreigner who doesn't speak the language very well (cf #1420)?
Question B: If nmillar's working in the Criminal Records Bureau, why are the records given to him? Surely he has access to the system himself?

The plot I'm describing here is complex, sure, but it could be pulled off if you were clever about it. The main thing here is this: nmillar's play is informative and pro-town on the surface, but the deeper you go, the more it starts looking like an illusion. So be careful with your trust, that's the lesson.

Well, I've only been in from work for a short time, so had only read the most recent posts. Yes, "Vanilla Townie" is my role name.

As for the timing of the posts, I didn't really know what to do with the information I had or how to hint at it (having not had this kind of role before). Eventually, I decided it would be a good idea to breadcrumb the information on Orryyrro and hope that someone would notice it.

I didn't bother breadcrumbing Damnation's information as he is a vanilla townie - I backtracked on knowing this for sure as I was criticised for revealing that information (and to hopefully put the mafia off track), but as everyone (bar jefequeso) has now made a full claim, I see no harm in divulging that information now.

The TB breadcrumb was during the Christmas period, a time when I wasn't giving the game much attention.

I am Lucia Metzen(Scorned Lover/Compulsive Vig). After Rico's death, I've turned into a complete psychopath. Each night, I have to choose someone to kill, otherwise I kill myself. I must shout 5 words a day to highlight my mentally unstable condition. I win when all anti-town are dead.

So basically, I was potentially serving as a double lynch for you guys.

Night 2 I was going to kill Orry, but I was roleblocked by Baz. Night 3, I killed Twilight Bard. Tonight, I was planning on killing Red_Baron...but I wasn't sure yet. And that basically ends my contribution to this game, because now the only way I'll survive another night is if I am protected by Baz, which roleblocks me. This is why I wanted to avoid telling everyone.

Oh, and since the cat is out of the bag, I can also tell you that the flavor for when I killed Twilight Bard implied that he was the one who killed Rico (my character thinks that the bat in his bag was used to knock me out on the night that Rico was killed). Which is really strange, when you think about it, since he turned out to NOT be Shattered Hand Mafia. I have no idea if anyone finds this useful or not.

How you figured revealing that was harmful to the town beats me. It finally explains the extra nightkill, and finally makes sense of your claim, as well as the lover flavour.

I must go through a couple of scenarios here...

I actually offered that information before the mass claim, but it was bazilisek that suggested waiting until my claim.

New spur-of-the-moment plan: jefequeso hammers SPF? Two alarmingly dangerous roles down in one? (not thought this through at all). Wow. This Town is full of loose cannons...

I don't know what to make of that flavour contradiction, other than to mischeviously wonder if you're paranoid as well. ;)

If you were blocked from vigging Orry, that still doesn't explain the lack of NK...

@nmillar: How certain are you that Damnation is town, if you had to put a percentage on it?

100%.

Not harmful I guess...but detrimental. If I stayed silent, I could have easily served as a second lynch. Now my only purpose is to serve as a highly attractive target for the mafia (which in itself is valuable, but not as much as an extra kill). Unless someone here is a vanilla doctor and isn't saying.

@NotFrenchYet If you're going to go through with the "two for one" lynching, the hammerer should either be me, or one of the claimed vanillas, to avoid the risk of losing a power role. As it is, though, you could simply use me as a buffer. If the mafia NKs me, that's one more night a useful role can survive. If they don't, I potentially hit one of their own. And now, instead of going on my own intuition, I'll kill whoever known townies agree should be killed. It's a win-win for town to keep me alive, at least for today.

Both yes and no, actually. Assuming jefe is telling the truth, which I believe he is, it would provide us with the likely theory of alternating mafia night kills, meaning night 2 was Gambiani's turn to perform the kill. They will then have had three chance of no kill at all:
1 - not performing one (Highly unlikely)
2 - hitting jefe, who was protected
3 - hitting Vitek, who was already targeted for termination by Red_Baron

On the whole jefe lynching SPF, I'm thinking we should think this scenario through very carefully. Jefe is potentially VERY dangerous, but could perhaps be used to town's advantage, the issue is, however, if one of the most trusted players is in fact a mafia who would then just move to pull the strings...

I genuinely wonder how is it possible so many of us are still alive.

If you're telling the truth, jefe, and it seems rather likely to me, then a) I don't understand why you didn't say so before and b) you pick your targets pretty well, all things considered.
