A story like many you may have been told
in a place of fields green and gold,
firesides warm and songs of old,
where the stars pierce the black sky, crystalline, cold,
where age is wise and youth is bold.
Our story begins, so give your ear
to my tale of grief, and destruction and fear.

You and your husband the King rule justly and are loved by all. Oh, it seems not all. Of those who do not love you, one of them has smacked your head off your shoulders in the pregame. Worse luck.
WIN CONDITIONS: You win when all anti-town players are removed from the game, whether you survive or not.
POWERS: Once per night you may find and purge all anti-town factions of evil, transforming them into loved and loving members of the community and eliminating any dangerous abilities they may have. You need not choose a target. You may use this power as often as you like. You may not use this power while dead.

Rules – A Modern take on The Classic gog Rules Described to us by Zchinique in time immemorial.
1. I AM JOESAPPHIRE Moderator of this game. OBEY ME!
Please feel free to contact me by the gog forums PM system at any time!
2. All players have a vote, which they may give to any player. A vote may be withdrawn by unvoting. Once a player has more than 50% of the votes, that player will be lynched and the game will go to night. No amount of unvoting can prevent this.
3. A player may also vote nolynch. A majority of nolynch votes will end the day without a lynch.
4. Please remember to bold your votes and unvotes like this: Unvote Robbeasy, vote NMillar.
5. When you are dead, you are dead - stop posting. A single "bah"-post is permissible and encouraged.
6. Don't edit your posts! This is very important! Editing a post is grounds for being modkilled.
Due to the forum software I must also ask you not to double post. Two consecutive posts of the same user in a short time frame will merge, creating the appearance of an edited post. The time limit after which this stops happening seems to be 10 minutes, but you might want to err on the side of caution!
7. Please bold any requests for votecounts or questions to the moderator.
8. Do not discuss the game with anyone outside the thread, except for people specified in your role PM, and then only at such times as the PM specifies.
9. Do not quote or paraphrase too closely any PMs you receive from the mod. If you are afraid that your paraphrasing is too close, contact JoeSapphire and he'll take a look at it.
10. All players should post at least once every 36 hours. If you expect to be away for more than 36 hours, please let me know either through PM or in the game thread.
Failure to do this will result in me sending you a prod via PM and in thread. I don't want to spend all my free time prodding y'all so post up!
11. If you can no longer participate in the game, let me know and I will try to find a replacement to beat you with.
12. All players on the winning team win!

The morning sun has reached it's crown
though the day is cold and laced with dread.
A sombre fear stalks every town
for in her home your Queen is dead.
Ring the alarums! Wake the street!
Cover your face and hold your breath,
wonder at the fate of one so sweet.
and tremble to hear of unnatural death.
But brace your heart, there's more to learn,
more tragedy to take to hand,
our gracious King, to whom we turn,
can nor be found withall the land.
Every soul has been torn and tossed,
in just one night too much is lost.
The day the Queen died, the town became like a dream. The folk drifted here and there without thinking. Every member of that town was too shocked to speak, and too greived to believe what had happened.
As the day went on, people really did fall asleep, and begin to dream. One by one, children, fathers, mothers, farmers, dancers, lords, butlers, hunters, everyone, each fell asleep and couldn't be woken. Some enchantment had fallen over the land, and none had the strength to fight it.
Some people had not slumbered. Some individuals still wandered the streets, though they appeared like sleepwalkers. They didn't know why they walked, and they didn't know where they were going.
It became clear, when they all came together in the palace gardens. They stood on the fresh green grass, and looked around them, at the flowerbeds usually so bright and cheerful, but every flower had closed - they too were sleeping under the mysterious spell - at the sky, which was still and calm, at the castle, the great grey stone castle, four large towers and a huge door that never closed. Before that time, they had all looked at that castle and felt reassured and safe and loved.
There was also an archway. Tall marble pillars with stone carvings adorning them - sweeping winds and tumbling rivers. Where the carvings met there sat a figure, a statue, looking down upon the garden with wide eyes.
There was a black stone script that looped back and forth across the white marble and the grey carvings. Letters gleamed upon it, reading:
"BEFORE EVIL TAKES THIS TOWN, WHILE THE INNOCENT SLEEP THOSE WITH HEARTS THAT ARE PURE AND THE STRENGTH TO RIGHT THAT WHICH IS WRONG WILL BE GIVEN THEIR CHANCE."
They understood. Under the watch of the marble-eyed warden they had been given the power to strike out against wickedness! Those guilty were present among them! Good people had been brought together to become a spirit of justice, and evil had been brought before them to recompense.
Their ribs clenched with rage when they realised what they could do: Blood must pay for the blood of Our Queen! Blood must reassure our terrified souls. Blood must satiate the beast within, that howls "All is Ill!"
