I don't think town should ever lie and can't see a situation where it would benefit town. Would be so easy to claim it was me who stopped the night kill. But that would be lying as only ability I had was one shot doc.

Think the lack of night kill was more Joe's way of balancing mafia having 2 night kills in a row.

Well I was under the impression that usually you wait until someone responds to being put at L-1 before lynching them.
You could have reminded him about it if he's ignored you.
You still didn't make this explicit in your hammer vote.

The fact remains that he was town. He therefore could have defended himself.
