NotFrenchYet: Scummy scum scum reads currently:
Top: xyem & pazzer (votes on Muttly confirmed suspicions I've had from at least D2)
Maaaaybe: Rod (began the muttly wagon)
God knows: Rabbit & Primal.
So where does Vitek fit in?
I think I MAY have figured out the Cat-botherer to Apothecary....
Cat gut used for stitching, maybe?
avatar
SirPrimalform: Wow, an insane role cop... Who were you trying to investigate last night Vitek?
Rodzaju.

avatar
Rodzaju: I can see the link from Knight to Chessboard & from fairy to Rainflicker, but how do we get from Miracle Maker to cat-botherer?
I am unable to link any. I am supposed to be role cop not flavour. So you need to link Vanilla with Chessboard, flavour thief with rainflicker and as you correctly stated Miracle Maker with Cat-botherer.

avatar
pazzer: I agree Vitek you're insane. Can you gives us an idea of your flavor and any you got while investigating.
I became night watchman because I don't like people and they don't think highly of me so I prefer to stay alone. I am able to move unnoticed around town and am supposed to be good at assessing people but apparently I am not.
And flavour? Each time I got scared about what I see. Cat-botherer was strange thing with punches and weird legs. Eh wait. What exactly is cat-botherer? As I read this again it sounds lot like bagpipes.
Rainflicker was even scarier as I saw weird arachnid-like whispering thing hanging above floor.
Chessboard was bit sketchy. I don't exactly know why I concluded it's chessboard. I saw aqua sliding down the fence direct and peaceful (all thesaured). That's all I got.
Now I can ask anyone I'd like to ask. What is Cat-botherer and Rainflicker? It's not important for game but I am curious and it troubled me before.

For an apothecary?! Not sure about that...

It's the best I could come up with!

JoeSapphire: could you give me a little bit longer?

xyem: No.
For the person who said this you're taking a long time to turn up and post.

For the person not setting the deadlines, "No" was a perfectly fine response.

I voted because I was already very sure he was scum and when NFY confirmed she also found his "change of tactic" to be suspicious, I figured I was on the right track and with 4 votes? I didn't think I was going to be wrong.

Yay for a repeat of Day #1, Game #7... not.

Luckily there was the saving grace of lack of night kill but I don't think it's going to make any difference as everyone has (rightly) mentioned, I now look really scummy so.. yeah, I doubt this has done little more than extend the game by a day.

It just seemed weird for one so impatient for the night to end to take so long to post once it did.

I don't think anyone's asking why you voted, I want to know why you did it without any kind of justification. The fact you look really scummy is entirely down the way you leapt in and voted like that.
avatar
SirPrimalform: Well, if I have good luck or bad luck it should show up in the vote count, right? As in with no votes cast at all, it should say something like "Closest to lynch is SirPrimalform at L-3" if I have bad luck. Of course I might have good luck, but that's a dangerous thing to test.
Let's test it.
At least then we know where we stand.
Votecount please

SirPrimalform: It just seemed weird for one so impatient for the night to end to take so long to post once it did.
It wasn't about me being impatient, it was about me doing to Joe what he did to us. We asked for the deadline to be (re)moved on day 1... it didn't.

I didn't think it needed justification because I was expecting muttly to turn out to be mafia and being the last vote, there would be no reason to convince anyone with a justification. Just (apparently over-) confidence :/

Rodzaju: So where does Vitek fit in?
I knew I missed someone... Sorry. He's in the "Maaaaaybe" category for his role in the muttly wagon. (Also for having mysteriously slipped under my radar like that. >_>)

Can you quote me something which proves you were "already very sure he was scum" ? I can't find anything that suggests you were "very sure". I can only find a couple of questions and a 'Yes, I agree with NFY' moment. These posts came smack in the middle of the wagon too, as it was starting to look viable... (#770, #809, #810)

Plus, it wasn't just a vote with no justification, it was the hammer...

Also, considering the last time I checked you still found me suspicious, and we spent a great deal of time talking about how strange you find my logic and tactics, I'm confused as to why my input was what swayed you...

xyem: /snipsnipsnip
Not offering reads on D1-3 == because I'm new and didn't want to get a townie lynched.
Not offering reads on D4 == don't want to get a townie lynched at My&Lo

/snip
So you'd prefer to follow others' reads and cases (leading to a mislynch..!) without offering any yourself?

Also, how come you only mentioned my input in the affair? Did nothing Rob and Vitek said have an effect on your thoughts?

Which reminds me, it was actually Vitek that started that wagon, not me.
Not that it probably makes any difference....

I was absolutely convinced he was scum.
I had Primal as scum, based largely on his interaction with Muttly, so while I'm not letting him completely off the hook, that whole case has largely fallen apart....
Back to the drawing board time for me!
Was tongue in cheek as slip ups normally indicate mafia. But there's been so many in this game heck even the mods made a few.

Not sure why everyone's getting hung up on chessboard etc. As that seems like the sort of thing a flavor cop would get. Reading the wiki a role cop returns only the role nothing more.

So in this case knight/vanilla, little girl/thief and apothecary/miracle maker. An insane cop usually returns the opposite. But in this case we just have a load of nonsense which I don't think we can learn from.

I'd also be interested if anyone knows what a Cat-botherer and Rainflicker are. As google didn't turn up anything.

Xyem hasn't even bother to defend himself. Which is a shame if he's town. Though after the Muttly disaster yesterday I wont vote for him yet.

Muttly wagon is interesting. I placed the first vote on Muttly then Vitek did his post by post analysis. Which was a really weak case. I unvoted as though it more likely he was town. Muttly seemed safe at that point.

Then Rodzaju really went after him in the sort of way Nmillar does. Think that convinced NotFrenchYet to vote him. I then revoted him and Xyem hammered.

@NotFrenchYet how many mafia do you think voted Muttly?

@Vitek Given what you've revealed today why were you so keen to stress that you were vital to town yesterday?

I will be holding big "I AM HERE" sign form now on. ;-)

So everyone spoke today and if someone is not hiding something (yeah, I know mafia are...) lack of night-kill and other actions was game mechanics.

It seems more like I am not insane in terms of game-mechanics but really insane.

Well weak... I posted it in this way for you all to make an opinion to me it seemed strong enough. I saw it as quite convincing and I voted him for it. It shows now it was weak but also because it was wrong. Rod "convinced" most of you to vote him. Or gave you excuse to vote him. And he only built base of his attacks on things I pointed out before.
Yes, I am not exactly good at stating my case or making people look scummy.
Right now scenario I imagine is that my wrong case and vote gave Rod good excuse to make his stronger case and when NFY started to sway against muttly too (I still think she's town) you (as pazzer and xyem) quickly piled up to end game.
avatar
pazzer: @NotFrenchYet how many mafia do you think voted Muttly?
I'm not sure. I keep WIFOMing myself.

Well, since we were apparently at MyLo, I wouldn't be surprised if they were all on there, since it wouldn't matter if they drew suspicion because the game would be over. This is largely why yourself and xyem are flying so high on my list - the L1 and hammer votes came within hours of one another, from what I remember.

On the other hand, everyone was so edgy that it's possible one more cautious member decided to lie low in order to avoid suspicion entirely... I think two lying low is unlikely, given how close they appeared to be winning.

@Primal ;
@Vitek
You both mentioned you have theories about what happened last night... Care to share with the class? ;)
