xyem: "The likes of you" makes it sound like it wasn't only directed at littlerabbit but to all the newbies (which I'm not considered as for some odd reason)..
For my part, I'm so used to seeing you around the forums that you seem familiar.
I need prompting that it isn't in the mafia games!

A bit like I need reminding that Frenchie is female.
@ Frenchie:
If we ever meet & I make the same mistake, feel free to slap me.
;-}
Sorry for my absence guys, I've been having trouble (on and off) connecting to gog for the past few days. I asked Joe to pass on my apologies but it looked like he failed me there. D;

Yes, "The likes of you" did mean all the newbies but it wasn't because littlerabbit was suspicious, it was because we weren't in RVS any more.

xyem: If he was only defending them against RVS, "any more" is several days late. If he was defending up until that comment.. was it public? I don't recall any.
No, the only defending I did was what I said on the first day about not lynching a newbie if it's going to be mostly random. I was just saying we're not in RVS any more so that doesn't apply. Thus I was no longer defending them.

As for my current reads, Pazzer comes across as one of the most suspicious for me. Particularly the way he waltzed in, hammered Orry and then vanished again. I find Muttly's motives pretty suspect too... and not just in a OMGUS way, his obsession with lynching TwilightBard was weird.

I have a hard time actually being confident of anyone's towniness so I don't have any town reads really.
The morning is scattered with moments of strange familiarity, as if remembering a dream.

Day Four Second Votecount
With eight alive it takes five votes to lynch.

1 - Muttly13 (cast by Vitek)
1 - LittleRabbit (cast by Rodzaju)

Not Voting - xyem, SirPrimalform, NotFrenchYet, Muttly13, LittleRabbit, Pazzer.

Muttly13 and LittleRabbit are tied closest to lynch at L-4
Oh yeah, forgot to say earlier.

If you don't finish this day yourselves, I will finish it for you on the 24th November. Alright?
Dam though you'd forgotten all about setting a deadline.
If we don't manage to end this day in next 20 days we certainly desrve the deadline.
LittleRabbit:
Day 1 votes Nolynch. No matter how this is dressed up, except in very specific circumstances, this is never a townie move.
Then goes on to Vote Twilight. Not particularly suspicious, except that she and Muttly are the only 2 people to have done so. This creates a link to my second suspect.
Day 2 there is a lot of "that sounds like something Joe would do" style of comments.
To me this suggests she is trying to curry favour by playing up her relationship with the mod.
Kind of a "You can't kill me, the mod is my friend. He will look after me" which is either stupidity itself or perhaps mafia code talk? Perhaps someone with a more analytical mind than mine can examine these posts to see if there is any hidden message?
Primal also makes similar posts. This creates a link to my 3rd suspect.
Post 406. Rabbit suggests that, should Orry flip town, Baz will be the next nightkill.
Awfully prescient that.... The scum even threw Twilight in between to try to cover this slip.
Been musing again...

@Rod: Why do you think 2 of the mafia are newbies?

also, 'That made me jump' was an incident waaaay back in RVS, when Primal voted '...not yet' and I decided to try something. I baited by commenting 'That made me jump' - post #124. Rod and Rabbit pounced on it (#125 and #126), and Primal commented in #129. I'm not attaching too much importance to this one incident, but I have been bearing it in mind through the thread.

I find Rabbit (and Muttly) really hard to read since I can't differentiate between newbie moves and scummy moves; I just end up in a mess of self-inflicted WIFOM. However, she did not vote for Orry. I would think the mafia would have leapt onto that bandwagon, knowing as they did that he was telling the truth. Being convinced of his innocence and consequently not voting for him seems quite honest behaviour. The way I'm looking at it now, this would only be scummy behaviour if Orry had flipped mafia. (Unless it's a bluff! Aaaaaagh...)

Vote Pazzer for now, largely because of the lurk-then-hammer behaviour of D2, a tactic which is no longer being used...
Time to claim I think i'm Apothecary (TOWN MIRACLE MAKER)

You get one vote (putting you at L-4) and you instaclaim?

I think 2 of the mafia are newbies because of the way the more experienced players have been killed.
If the majority of the mafia were experienced, there would be questions about why they were skipped over for killing.
I think the systematic nature of the kills suggests a guiding hand, or a plan.
If all the mafia were newbies, the kills would be more random.
I see a leader in the mafia actions.
This suggests 1 player able to exercise authority over the others.
This leads me to 1 experienced player.

Your query about the Orry wagon bears out my theory.
Newbie mafia would have jumped on the wagon.
The guiding hand warned Rabbit off, so that, when questions were asked, she would escape..

Further to my previous post, if you're telling the truth you're almost sure to be the next nightkill. Since the cat is out of the bag, what are your powers?

Somewhat in his defense he did say he would likely claim some posts ago regardless of geenral feelings on mass-claim.

D1= at this point my experience of forum mafia was 0. Lynching someone for no reason seemed unfair to me, so I thought not to. Having been told that was bad, I then voted for someone. Is the only suspicious thing about this vote that you reckon Mutly is Mafia? Cause that's a weak premise.
And anyway it was TB first, THEN no lynch, that I voted for in D1

I do know joe, yes. Is that a crime? I was comparing the game setup with my knowledge of joe as a person. I happened to be right.
You're right it would be stupidity itself to even think that joe would intercede to save me from a night kill. That and I wouldn't want him to, because that's not playing the game properly.
If I were mafia, and wanted to tell them something, why didn't i just PM them or however that works? Newbie, yes. Moron, no.

You can't be saying that just because I made good guesses, I'm mafia? Faulty logic there. But by your last sentence I can see you are convinced of my guilt.

As for my suspicions, vitek’s post:
avatar
NotFrenchYet: Eight left, presumably three mafia... is this probably LyLo?
avatar
Vitek: It's not Lylo but MyLo (Mislynch-or-lose). In LyLo you have to lynch mafia to avoid losing but we still have the option of nolynch. And all this apply only if you know you have no protective role left and we can't be sure about it.
Strikes me as interesting
Typo or hint of something more profound? Surely it’s mislynch AND lose; although from the mafia’s point of view it is indeed, ‘make the town mislynch or (perhaps) loose’

But yes Pazzer, what are your powers?

I am still considering whether to claim or not. Not sure what the best strategy is...
Going on past experience 12 player mafia games have 3 mafia. I see no reason for this not to be the case in this game. I also see no evidence of 3rd party roles. Which means 2 wrong votes by town and the mafia can win the game.

So as I saw it if NotFrenchYet is town then I was at L-1. Plus as Muttly pointed out I said I'd claim anyway.

If there's a mislynch today then the mafia win anyway. No need for a night kill. You really think I'd claim if I had powers, I'm not that reckless :P
