Rodzaju: I think the surviving most experienced players are Vitek, me & Primal.
So are we the bad guys or the targets?
I would start with you personally, yes.

avatar
Rodzaju: However, look at the roles that have gone.
Your theory assumes that the roles were not randomly assigned.
My understanding is that they WERE randomly assigned.
I made no such assumption, nor is my theory based on that. Roles were in fact randomly assigned per Joe.

avatar
Rodzaju: So either the scum are taking out the experienced players & have got lucky with the roles, or they have somehow figured out the roles.
Interesting to note that the most disposable role to go (violator / Mason) was killed before there was any oportunity for night actions....
Right, which per my theory means they simply targeted an experienced player since they had no knowledge of roles, etc. Again, unless you are assuming some mafia role detector, the most likely explination in my book is that they are tagging experienced guys. Otherwsie, what do those three have in common? No reason to kill Baz, he started the final hunt on O. TB was not the origination for any finger pointing. And V wasnt around long enough to make an impact.

So what purpose was there in their death? Either you beleive they knew the roles, possible I guess. Or they used another cirteria. I think they used experience. What do you think?

I think the mafia have a rolecop or something similar.
If they were working through the experienced players, Violator wouldn't have been top of the list.
He was a random kill before they had the opportunity to get any results.
Perhaps they are rolecopping the experienced players & have got lucky with their results.

If the experienced players are being killed off, I would start looking at the newer players.

As for me personally, Vitek is more experienced than me, so I think (hope) that I am safe for 1 more night.

xyem: Seriously?
Not the slightest. ( ;
Well I didnt mean "you" as in "you", its the whole "you all" thing again...

So you think they have a role detector ehh? So night one they went random, two they tagged the Doc, and three they tagged the tracker. I can see that.

It's the most likely theory I can come up with.

WHY DO YOU TAUNT US SO? D;

muttly13: What you do think the witching seven minutes was enough?

So here are my thoughts... the V kill made no sense until i saw the next two kills. Barring a mafia role detector of some kind, I believe they are simply going after the most experienced players. Which leads me to believe they are also experienced players.

Anyone with more knowledge of the players buy that? I am basing experience on the admin post and past games. If so, I would say we say we start breaking down whos in the know and whos just plodding through.
I agree that we newbies seem to have gotten off pretty lightly.
This calls to mind something that Primal said on D1; that newbies should be given a chance to last for more of the game...

Do you think SPF is getting the other mafia to let the newbies off or just recalling out loud?

I think he's suspicious, yes.

Pfft, we're way past RVS now and I see no reason to defend the likes of you any more. :P

Are you suggesting that the next erson to die will be one of the less experienced members, or is this a threat to Rabbit directly?
Also, all the voters from the only lynch of the game so far are all still alive...

I agree with Rod, a rolecop sounds likely, especially since after the no lynch on D1 the mafia have had the jump on us... In that case I guess the sequence of events might look like this:

D1 No lynch
N1 investigate Bard, kill Violator at random
D2 Orry lynch
N2 investigate Baz, kill Bard
D3 No lynch
N3 investigate ?, kill Baz.

The irritating thing is that if this is the case, they're going off their own data, and not off anything which can be gleaned from posting... However, after the random murder of Violator, they seem to have targeted the lucid types who were obstacles to pushing through quick lynches... They must have laughed their heads off when the Princess claim appeared.

On the first day I basically said "go easy on the newbies today". I feel a bit betrayed since she was one of the players I was saying we should go easy on in the first day. :P
Anyway, it was an 'out of game' comment about forum mafia in general and not to be taken as specific to any one game.

I was thinking along the same lines as NFY, the mafia may have investigated each person the night before they killed them with ViolaTorx being completely at random.

That's fair enough primal. :)

And yeah a Mafia cop or something seems likely, but wouldn't that give the mafia a huge advantage. Do you think joe would have weighted the game more evenly?
:/

Possibly... unless we still have some more power roles up our sleeves? Best to assume we don't though.
