xyem: Creating the rules in the first place is "experimenting".
Exactly my point.

xyem: Continuing with rules that were done for reasons that no longer apply is simply him wasting my time. He's making me do it simply because he can - which just so happens to be the very definition of a power trip.
Rules that no longer apply? How does baa no longer apply? Have you suddenly turned into a different role? So long as you're still a sheep, it still applies.

Don't all mods make you do things because they're mods. That's their job.
It's just a bit of fun Xyem.

Anyhow.
@french: Baz pointed out earlier that if mod tells orryy to post a poem, it's not breaking rule 9 cos mods make the rules.

I still think Orryy is town, and still think that Xyem is distracting us from our purpose- none of the past two posts has been to offer anything constructive.

Rod, do you have anything to add? What is your opinion so far?
Do you have a post restriction?

If you have a power that fails if you break the restriction it's still relevant. Same as everybody knows I claimed cop now, but I still aren't allowed to say I'm the cop or talk about post restrictions in any capacity if I want to investigate tomorrow night.

Rodzaju: Anyone fancy lynching Frenchie while he is asleep?

Just kidding!!!
Frenchie is female
for the fourth time....

And I agree with Orryy above

((... *headdesk* Thanks Rabbit. I must be acting like a guy >_> ))

No to the first, yes to the second. What the heck, xyem? Seems like you're trying to muddy the waters as well.

Ok, even if we put the question of Orry's alignment aside for the moment, it's still a tactical lynch to make, one that we didn't get time to make on D1. We have so much to learn from lynching him at this point - baz notes that if we let him live, he won't be useful again until D4, which is horribly late. I refer you to #321, but here's a recap:

If we lynch Orry:
- we find out his alignment and we find out if his claim was true
- we therefore find out how "interesting" the rest of the roles are likely to be and if the mod is messing with us
- we get a better guess at my alignment and baz's alignment
- yes we might lose our cop (but a chop who won't be useful till D4)
- if he flips town, you have the choice of me or baz for a D3 lynch, since we started the wagon.

If we don't lynch Orry:
- we (might) keep our cop (but a cop who won't be useful till D4)
- we (might) have a read on baz (unconfirmed until we confirm Orry's alignment)

Any thoughts..? Did I miss something?

xyem: *stuff about Joe*
Come on, you got post restriction that you don't like, you decide to screw with it and ask mod to drop it? I absolutely support Joe on this one when he decline your request.
Post restrictions have it's reason if only to amuse people or to make someones game harder and perhaps more interesting. Anyway there are set, are part of roles and shouldn't be ignored.

Activity level here is amazing.

Do you have a post restriction?
First, I think it was me rather than Baz that pointed that out, but the who is really not important.
What is important is to remember that Mods CAN & DO do this.

I do think that Xyem has got a bit hung up on his restriction.
Perhaps it cramps his style.
Perhaps he worries that he does not have the freedom to play the way he wants to.
Either way, I hope he gets it straight in his head, because it is just distracting at this point & Joe is not likely to change his mind.

Regarding Orry:
I'm really not sure whether he is town or not, or indeed cop or not.
I don't feel comfortable lynching our cop, but do see Vitek's logic that it is dangerous to keep him around.
I haven't made my mind up about the best way to deal with this.

I have a role that I have never come across before, with post restriction.
(( A cop, a cop, a cop, not a chop. I laughed so hard when I saw that. ))

FOS xyem
Rabbit and Vitek make excellent points.

Also if mafia has roleblocker he can be easily blocked on night 3 (or claim so) and we will know nothing again.

I apologise.

I have a hard enough job remembering names.
Getting gender right is a bit beyond me.
I tend to refer to everyone online as he.
No offense intended.
Keep shouting it at me & you never know, it might sink in....
;-}
@Rod, no worries, I too assume everyone is male until they protest!

I'll be back later folks, happy discussing. My vote stays on Orry.
Sorry Rod! It was you I meant.

I have been re-reading day 1 with special regard for Xyem. It seems that after RVS finished xyem's posts were mainly anti-deadline or anti-mod related.
He did come up with a read based on objectivism (narcissm, inconsistancy, won't share info) which seemed a bit ott, but then it was D1.
The next chunk is all 'damn the deadline' stuff again. (nobody complained about the Mafia #5 deadline on D1)
I also think he may have broken his post restrictions in #278

The post he gives in D2 is a little more useful, but doesn't say anything major.

I am perfectly prepared to believe this is co-incidental; but to me it seems more scummy than anyone else's behaviour so far.

I welcome dispute on this subject, but to get the vote ball rolling:
vote: Xyem

This this this. There's too little to gain now (if he really is a cop) and he's massively suspicious. I think he's a liability to us to be honest...

Uh.. no. Well done with not paying attention.

My issue isn't with the restriction itself, it is with that fact that it persists despite it now only being a waste of time to do. Joe could quite easily swap it out with another restriction that isn't.

Good point. Forgot about that.
I'm leaning towards Orry being too much of a liability, but I want to hear from Pazzer & Mullty.

No-one should have a free ride.
