Did we win!?
Once upon a time, a thought struck you thusly:
If the wand was stolen, how did she use it to stop the apothecary?
A bold knight, in fine uniform and polished armour put his hand on the hilt of his sword and swung round in alarm as realisation dawned.
CLANG
Went the thick wooden club against the Knight's gold armour.
The breastplate cracked and bent, blood seeped from the harsh edge that dug into the flesh. The knight looked up at his attacker in shock.
An old woman lifted her skirts. Ragged and tattered and stinking. Layers of them. She lifted them until she showed bare feet; skin fagile and papery, so old it was grey.
One foot raised slowly, uncertainly, and came down fast and with malice.
squish
Oh dear.
That was the Fairy, now a crumpled smudge on the grass.
The Witch lets down her skirts and looks about her.
The Ugly Troll looks at the carnage about him, shoulders his club and laughs. Laughs like a child, though his voice rumbles like thunder, carrying across the silent town.
"WE DID IT"
He chortles and giggles.
"KILLED THEM ALL AND NOW THE TOWN IS OURS."
The Witch hobbles slowly. She looks up at the castle, her face impassive, grave. She limps away until she is out of the Castle's shadow, on the slope of a hill, and, with great effort, sits on the hillside and looks at the town down below. The Troll stomps up behind her.
"They shall wake." She says, her voice cracked and raspy, every word a strain. "Though nothing more can stop us. The Kingdom is ours.
The land is mine at last.
Tear it down."
"TEAR DOWN ALL THEM HOUSES?"
"The castle.
To begin, we shall bring down that symbol of their luxury. That which gave their worshippers hope and reassurance, while we festered in the cold and the damp.

This place... is..."
The Troll sits down, gracelessly next to the ancient woman, and they both watch the horizon in the warm sunlight.

Pazzer has been lynched. He was the Apothecary (TOWN MIRACLE MAKER)
SirPrimalform has been killed. He was the Royal Knight-at-Arms (TOWN VANILLA)
NotFrenchYet had been killed. She was the Fairy (TOWN MASON)

Town has been defeated, the survivng players are Vitek; the Ugly Troll (MAFIA STRONGARM/STUPID ROLECOP) and Rodzaju; the Witch (MAFIA JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES/DIVINER)
Mafia win.

The harkening mouse scrambles back across the floor, and now my story's at an end.

Wow, was this a disaster. I'll be honest, I found the game unbalanced to an extreme.

Putting our cop in a position where he had to lie was a bad move, and then adding the Princess role was a disaster.

Giving the mafia 2 roles was fairly bad as well, it was really unbalanced towards the mafia that it wasn't surprising that this ended up in a mafia win.
Good job, scum. I freely admit Vitek had me fooled -- I thought pazzer was the third one.

Which reminds me: what do you do when an informative role dies, townies? You check for breadcrumbs! You could have caught Rodzaju ages ago.

EDIT: Although yes, the game definitely was unbalanced. We have discussed this a lot in the observer thread, but I think Joe will want to bring that up here as well.

Do you know what the worst thing was? I was going to unvote last night but got 404'd to death. I was beginning to cotton on to Vitek at the end.

Well done though!
I realised that what I should have done was as soon as the forum started playing up I should have put the game on pause to make it fair for everyone, but by the time I could implement it the game was over and I couldn't exactly say "NO NO NO MAFIA YOU HAVEN'T WON YET GO BACK AND PRETEND IT NEVER HAPPENED."

Well they hadn't outed themselves so you could have done perhaps... It was my fault for starting that pazzer wagon, SORRY GUYS!
I.. think I might save that "ending image" because it's pretty cool.
aw! I was thinking of working the breadcrumbs into the final flavour as well. That was probably the subconscious inspiration for that impromptu twist at the end there. It was going to be like they found a note on Bazil's body that read "ROD -> TWI NFY" and while they're pondering the significance they get killed.

I guess I should put up the role descriptions and night action results yes?

The problem is, there was no way to correct the flaws that were already there, Orryyrro's role was pretty much the point where the town had pretty much given up hope, the only people really pushing were Mafia.
oh that is the "beginning image" the "ending image" I drew tonight.

Hey, Xyem died! He should be a happy ghost wolf (happy because he won).

Well, I suppose he does look kind of dead. Weirdly I didn't see that as being his blood at first.

It's supposed to be lying down, if it was standing up it would have really weird legs.
But the whole drawing is a bit unclear. It's not my best work but the composition is quite nice I feel.
Cool, I was bit afraid Joe is preparing something nasty again so I kept quiet.

Baz, I think I know where you breadcrumbed but I can't figure what. Can you tell me?
Rod, you were driving me mad last day (real time). Wasn't it clear I wanted you to vote pazzer? I was quoting you and talking about sppedlynching all the time and you seemed so oblivious to it.
I think it wasn't unbalanced to extreme. It was partly and I think it's only because of Gossip role. Cop princess would be OK but need to lie was too much. Also I think people would believe Orryy more if he cliamed cop and princess together, not when under heavy scrutiny.
The princess was bit offseted by kill-less night. What exactly happened there, Joe. It caused us hard time.
Reason why my investigation failed is I was performing NK.

Also I don't understand why you were so easy to accept Rod's role. I can't see how it could be pro-town and no one even doubted this..

Town, you shoud have listen to pazzer more.

I've got more on my mind but I can't post now.

Honestly, I still can't believe a role so powerful was given to the mafia. They already have the advantage of knowing who not to lynch; affecting the number of votes needed to lynch someone is incredibly powerful.

Yes please.

Oh well, now I'm free to actually contribute to #9 properly. I've been seriously neglecting it.
