boct1584: Urgh, I detest Day 1's without a prior nightkill. We literally have nothing to do on.
To be fair, a nightkill wouldn't tell us much either, since we know nothing about the game state and the players, but we'd at least be able to take guesses about who would want the nightkill dead.
Vitek: Ah don't try this on me. I wonder over and over again what info people expect to gain from NK. It can almost always be played down as WIFOM and provides only minimal info. I heard this several times and usually next day those same people did nothing more. I think they just hope there will be some cop/watcher/RB/anything result to help them but it is long shot which shouldn't people expect. Well, lynch can be much better source of informations but is used to scarcely too, in my opinion.
I have to say that I agree to a certain degree with you. Although it's entirely possible that we have a good power role or a really unwise mafia, it's banking on a really small chance of something good happening, (as I said earlier) it's more likely that we'll end up with very little new info and essentially the same situation minus one person.
I think the main reason people want to go for a nolynch stage at this point is nervousness. Everyone's afraid of accidentally lynching a townie, especially since we have nothing to go on. That being said, I don't feel like a nolynch is necessarily the way to go, but neither (of course) is a quick lynch. We just need to keep talking until someone becomes suspicious, I suppose.
So, what that lengthy paragraph comes down to is: I don't feel like a nolynch has a good chance of coming up with enough info to avoid repeating the RVS stage, we should just keep going back and forth (and hope more people join the discussion) until we can build at least enough of a suspicion to get this moving. However, I repeat, randomly quick lynching someone is baaaad. We should take it slow and try not to get impatient, in my opinion.
