According to Nmillar's copy of the forum recommendation and the current team formation, we'd have the following amount of training requirements:

Speed ++++++++++
Stamina ++++++++++
Positioning ++++++++++
Game Vision ++++++++++
Short Passes ++++++++++
Long Passes ++++++++
Dribbling ++++++++
Tackling ++++++
Technique ++++++
Heading +++++
Finishing ++++
Long Shots ++++
Crosses ++++

That (including our league matches on Saturday) would suggest something along the lines of:

Monday Stamina*3
Tuesday Having Fun Fitness*2
Wednesday Game Vision*3
Thursday Short Passes*3
Friday Positioning*3
Saturday Fitness*2 Having Fun
Sunday Speed*3

Am I horribly off?

Maybe you could switch Czerniewicz for Wieslowski. Wieslowski is ML now but has preffered foot right and has much better abilities. Also he is half Spanish and we all know they are better football players than Poles. :-)

Having fun training is pretty useless in general, I would advice against training it :)

Yeah, I've done that now. Zchinque has been moved into the AMC position now too.

Good boy. :-)
Morning all!

Re: Training - I'm currently matching the team training (apart from Goalkeeper on Saturday) Am I right in thinking I need to throw in a couple of 'Fitness' training slots? Is someone looking at the Team Training and adjusting it, cos it seems to be a little odd?

Oh. It seemed important to have it once a week according to the manual.
'By not training Having Fun at least once every 7 days, your player morale will start to suffer. The penalty will be as high as the number of days you pass without this kind of training.'
Not to mention that it would help with the Adaptability level of us foreigners :p
I want to get adjusted to Poland if it manages to re-release such nice classic PC games! ;)

Well, winning games will boost the morale up way more than having fun. For instance, Joakim Laakso has not "had fun" in 200+ days. Wait..that sounded sad...

Edit. And the manual...that's waaaay outdated, the devs had said it themselves. But haven't fixed it yet, much to the dismay of the users. I trust experienced users much more than the manual :)

God how I hate something like that.
Why even care to link to material that's plain out wrong? *mutters and grumbles*

Is there an up to date 'comprehensive' and confirmed source of information that I could use?

Have you tweaked Advanced Options. I ask because I saw at almost everthing there is assigned Zamroczony so I wonder if this is intentional.

Yeah, I deliberately set one of the bot players to take the set pieces, since all human players have close to zero points in all their stats!

Do taking freekicks and the like in games help build up skills, or is it only during training? If it builds up during matches as well, you should probably give it to human players - it's only a friendly after all.

Only training.

Hmm.
I just checked our bots. We have two non human positions (AMR and DMC if we use the formation Nmillar has set up ;)
Now we have three very good bots in our team:
Jan Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz
Sławomir Wiesiołowski
Longin Zamroczony

Considering the skills J.K.M. would be the perfect choice for DMC and S.W. would be an optimal AMR (I don't know if favourite foot is playing any role here?) and one of the two should always be assigned for special actions, because they are miles ahead of us skill wise ;p

Could somebody enlighten me why Wiesław Czerniewicz is playing (and to a lesser extend Longin Zamroczony)?

Czerniewicz was already replaced by Wieslowski. We discussed before.
But yes Marcinkiewicz would be probably better choice than Zamroczony. Hopefully we get some another player and it won't matter soon.
