I had the entirety of Witcher 2 downloaded bar the tiny bit at the end.
I reopened the downloader and now it says it only has 800Mb downloaded, checked its directory and all but a few of the chunk files are missing... WHAT?

I used up pretty much all my monthly download quota to get this... NOT HAPPY :/

Anyone else had something like this? I can't download it until after the 22nd now :(
That's because The Witcher 2 isn't out yet.

Hence what I mean by "The tiny bit at the end" - I had the pre-download done. It reserves a little bit at the end which it gets on the 17th I gather. There was just over 9Gb of chunk files. Now there aren't, there are only about 800Mb.
Were the files assembled into larger .bin files or something?
mine's telling me that I'm just missing 121 mb, I've shut it down and restarted it a couple of times now.

Same for me, but thats the part you get on 17th, isnt it?

Yeah mine was doing that too for a few days while I downloaded other recent purchases.
It was just when I opened it to get the last bit of Enclave that it truncated my "The Witcher 2" download. I guess all I can do is submit a bug report and wait until my quota resets next weekend. Just limits what I can download next month **sigh** I was planning on downloading Witcher 1 next when my code comes through... that will have to wait another month.

For this one they shouldn't be assembled until the last files are unlocked, or at least they weren't on my computer last I checked.

Really? I downloaded the bins in browser and they are assembled. It appears the only file missing is the exe.

That's interesting. I used their downloader, and the pieces are sitting there waiting to be assembled.

If you have Windows 7 (or some versions of Vista) you might be able to retrieve the missing chunks from a shadow copy. Right click on the folder they were in, choose "Restore previous versions", and open up the dated folders it comes up with to see if they have the chunks you want. If they do simply drag them out of there.

Yuh, saved many people's lives that trick... sadly I am still on XP.
Have considered downloading Recuva or similar, but not sure if the files would pass integrity checks if undeleted.

Reading above, I am wondering how things are going to go tomorrow, if some people are just missing the .exe and and some are still chunk files...
Well I'm pretty dissappointed. I used their DLM and ended up with only two bin files completing. Manually downloading bin files, but not really sure if I'm ever going to bother getting anything from this place again.

The downloader is
a) in beta
b) optional

Yes. You do want to bother getting stuff from here again.

I am the first to admit the DLM is quirky, and had to let off a bit of steam over losing downloads... But tell me, where else on the net is there such a good site, with GOOD games at good prices with a good community? Trust me, it's worth staying. :)
