It should be enough to pause and resume the download. If not, try closing and restarting the downloader (make sure you actually close it, it'll just get minimised to the system tray when you close the window, right-click that icon and choose exit).

I'm having a problem with this version of the downloader. Mostly, nothing can be added to it. At all. I click on the link and poof, nothing.

You don't have to use the downloader, every program will do. You may want to see if there's something like that on the website or if you need to send a support ticket.
Every time I try to download anything with the 3.0.25 version, it hangs at 99%. I have to exit it completely and restart it for it to finish. It's successfully completed the download every time after the restart, but it's still annoying.
So, it turns out that it's not the downloader that's preventing me from downloading anything. The downloader download links on the shelf appear to be broken, or at least the one for Baldur's Gate 2 is.

I've just tried adding BG2 to the Downloader both via latest IE and Chrome and it works fine.

What browser are you using? If you used old (0.9.sth) downloader in the past, you might have set your browser to associate the gogdownloader links with that old Downloader app, so that could cause the issue. Also, can you please go to gog.com/account/beta and make sure it's OFF - links from the My Acount Beta work only with beta version of the Downloader.

Switching the beta off seems to have worked. Thanks.
I have tried downloading the Witcher 2 three times already with the downloader and have had the same problem on every occasion. It reaches 14,99 GB of 14,99 GB, dl speed drops to 0 and it sits there doing nothing. Restarting does not fix it. I have no firewall or antivirus running either so it can't be that, and my router doesn't even have NAT. Windows 7 64 bit.

Meanwhile, I had zero problems with the old 0.9 downloader. I think the new one is just garbage.

I had a similar problem, where it got stuck at 14,49 GB. Here's a suggestion for a thing that worked for me:
-Close the Downloader (properly, with right click - Exit on the tray icon)
-Open the Downloader again
-Add something else to the Downloader, like the game's soundtrack or a free game, just something small (I used Total Annihilation soundtrack, but that's probably a minor detail)
-Drag the small thing to the top of the list, so it starts downloading

After the small thing finishes, The Witcher 2 download should resume, at least this worked for me. It took a few moments of trying different kinds of stuff to come up with that :p
Thanks, trying that. If I have to download 15 GB yet again for nothing I think my head will explode. :P
EDIT: Well, as I expected, that didn't work. Going to redownload the game for the 4th time through Firefox this time, since the downloader plain sucks.

Also if you're using Firefox, please remember that this browser has its own settings which ignore those found in the registry. Try removing or setting to default "gogdownloader" under Firefox -> Options -> Options -> Applications
