It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Whoops, I was accidentally using old downloader, that's why it wasn't signing in :) Need to get rid of that one so it doesn't happen again...
Ok, i've found out one solution. I changed the numer of concurrent connecftions from 6 to 3.
Hope it can help other people too.

Best regards.

Neikius: Opera user here.

Worked fine for the first download, but now I cannot add anything else to the downloader. "No registered applications for this extension" even though I checked in settings there is gogdownloader protocol added and points to the correct file...
Once you tick the box in the second pop-up to skip having to hit Okay a second time, then you get this message.

Not sure about the fix yet...
Heya

What is the argument being passed to the GoGDownloader protocol?

Having trouble finding the extension being used...
I have firefox 4.x on windows seven 64: can't use gogdownloader because of a alert message:
"Firefox can't open this adress because the protocol (gogdownloader) is not associated with program". Explanations were provided before on linux but it doesn't work for me on windows 64 (about:config, create boolean key and char key).

How associate gogdownloader with GOGDownloader.exe?

GOG : ...it's just unbelevable that there's no tutorial and we have to find our answers in a more than 30 pages of confuse discussion on a forum. Not serious.
Hey guys, im new to GoG so go easy on me :P.

Anyway i have downloaded Witcher 2 through the Downloader and it has hit 9602mb/9723mb at the download and now it is paused all the time. I can download other games through the downloader but TW2 does not download.

Does the downloader not resume until the game is unlocked by GoG as a security precaution, or is my download just screwed. I hope not, 9GB is a lot on a capped internet plan.

Thanks guys

probably due to any sandbox. If you use comodo, just check the sandbox, and remove gogdownloader from it.
Then enjoy the game :D
The GoG downloader won't work for me & i know I'm putting in the correct user ID & password. Are there any ports I need to open on my router for this thing to work?
I think it's just down, I'm having the same problem.
Does GOG downloader, support backing up files to transfer it to another PC?

I shamelessly leached my office internet to d/l the witcher 2 but will play on a the home PC.

Am new to GoG so dont know about this.

MaximB: GOG - please fix your downloader, I can't login (use) the old one, and the new one is not Linux friendly.
You know you do have many Linux users who buy games from GOG... so please support us at least for the downloader.
sudo apt-get install build-essential libhtmlcxx-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev
wget http://sites.google.com/site/gogdownloader/gogdownloader-0.12.tar.gz
tar -xvzf gogdownloader-0.12.tar.gz
make
sudo make install

print usage/help info with
gogdownloader -h

or you can use JGoGDownloader
I want to know why the downloader never leaves my task bar. I want to be able to click the damn icon and see the window come up on my desktop. not my system tray or task bar.

just download the last version. The old one do, not let you connect anymore
