It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

dudalb: GOG, either get the downloader fixed or allow us to use a download program such a GetRight to download your games. 2 or 3 Gig downloads using a browser, where if you lose connections you are back to squre one, is just not feasible.
Install FlashGot plugin for Firefox: http://flashgot.net/
Install a download manager supported by FlashGot: http://flashgot.net/features#dms
Use FlashGot to send the download link to download manager
Should it be that way...?

I don't think so. Mine's using 61 megs, which is already fairly high...
In my case the GOG Downloader just keeps crashing.
OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit, downloaded Adobe Air and GOG Downloader yesterday. After maybe a GB it just crashed twice.

So i download my collection from the first shopping spree (260$+) by Browser.
I'm not a programmer or a complete computer freak i'm using xp still and download my games with no problems at all, and they sit in the folder that i have designated for all my downloads. I go to them double click to inatall and everything is hunky dory no probs. Could it be that u people who have problems are doing something wrong I don't know
Content of having a way to queue download with the download manager. Minor anoyances: fails to initialize at first start unless browser is up, second try is allright; after a few hours it hangs/crashes.
When I use the GOG Downloader, it *constantly* crashes with a "Whoops: There was an error requesting the file! All transfers stopped, sry :( [E1004]", which requires me to restart the GOG Downloader to get it downloading again - at which point it runs for a few minutes before crashing again with the same error.

I get the feeling it's the same thing as when the browser download times out if a download isn't finished in 5-10 minutes or something like that...

Does anyone else have this issue?
I'm unable to use GOG downloader. Every time I open the program, a textless box appears than I cannot exit from. I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it, but it gives me the same problem.
I want the Downloader to be fixed!

- It crashes after a few hours of use because of a MAJOR memory leak
- It often doesn't start

I also want it to be able to download all game bonuses as one big pack.

i have the same issue right now. i bought a lot games recently and i downloaded most of them without problem with gog downloader but at my last game, at %95, the downloader stucked at 10 kb/s and usually gives that error mesage.

With me it's every. single. goddamn. game.

...maybe I should write the GOG Support Team? But I've heard rumours that they never answer your mails.
well the download is capped at 10 kb/s at the moment. damn being stuck at %97 is pretty annoying.

edit: well, the download completed at last, but guess what, CORRUPTED FILES. 2 GBs of download and all those hours wasted.

Guys, i don't want to be ungrateful. The downloader idea is great, but sometimes its better if i just use the browser to download the games. Opera is working as it should.
The downloader can't seem to utilize my bandwidth (which isn't all that great) while opera does. And it fails to start the first time i try it but is fine the second.
I just recently began experiencing major problems with the downloader. It did have a habit of crashing randomly in the past (and failing to download files properly), but yesterday when I tried to download a bunch of games I'd just recently purchased in the sales, it refused to even connect to the server! I couldn't even log in to my account to begin downloads.

I tried connecting several times, restarting the downloader, restarting the computer, all to no avail. It just refuses to connect (and yes, my internet connection is fine).

Just an hour ago, it became worse. Now the downloader won't even open, it crashes before the login screen even appears.

I would open a support ticket about this, but the last time I had a problem and I tried to ask GOG for support, I received no answer (its been months now, and there still hasn't been an answer, luckily I managed to sort out my problem on my own, with help from the forums of course).

My only available course at this point is to uninstall the downloader, download it again, and reinstall. I can only keep my fingers crossed that this will work, as my browser's download speed is just abysmal.
Okay...dumb question, but I'm having the downloader crash a ton too, though usually it goes a few hours before crashing.

It appears to resume just fine when I launch it (rather I launch it once, it doesn't work, then launch it again)

So my question is-is this really resuming correctly? It knows how/where to pick up, and these files won't be corrupt or anything?

I should have thought about this BEFORE downloading nearly 17 games...I might have to redownload 12+GB :(
