It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I hope you're planning on making it possible to also download all the bonus content with the GOG Downloader, so you always know you'll have downloaded all the stuff for the game if anything like what happened this week would happen again.
Just add another option in the game "menu", below "Download game in Downloader" have the option "Download game + bonus content in Downloader".

I second that.

That would be great.

+1 from me ... especially since GoG screwed with our trust and reminded us that they are a corporation first and last and will always put their own whims above our paid accounts ... so we need to assume they will die tomorrow and download everything immediately.

It's strange you hadn't already made that assumption about them dieing already and downloaded your games: it costs [arguably] nothing to download them, so it's easy to play it safe. I had all my games downloaded before GoG pulled their funny little stunt, so it didn't concern me whether they lived or died... all the better that they lived IMO.
Also... I've never thought of this as a "paid account". I didn't pay for my account - I signed up for free. What I payed for were my lovely DRM-free games; which are happily sitting on my hard drives unaffected by the "whims" of GOG. It's quite cool that for as long as GOG are around, I have a third backup I can resort to if I loose my locally stored copies.

I was wondering why the downloader wasn't working. So it's incompatible with the latest web site update?

SilentChe: Can a downloader be made based on HTML5 standards, instead of AIR/Flash/Silverlight etc.?
If it can, then that is what I would prefer.
It would eliminate the point. The whole point of the downloader is to get away from HTTP. Make the downloader web based, and you're right back where you started; HTTP. That's why it's a desktop application instead.

Theoretically, a .Net, WPF, etc. application could do the job just as well. But with a working version of the downloader already running on Air, they'd need a good reason to migrate to something else.

Me likey the http download option!

You can take as long as you want working on the other Downloader.

I'd definitely like to see the downloader fixed. My connection can be kinda glitchy.

Technically FTP. Just sayin'.

But yes, unless the Downloader abandons AIR and offers features not possible with the direct download option then they can do what they like with it.

Well, going through the browser doesn't allow for resumes as far as I can tell, so I personally would prefer either they rework the downloader or replace it with a straight-up FTP client.

I mainly used the downloader because of the resume feature, firefox isn't exactly reliable when it comes to that :p
The downloader is back!
Downloader still isn't working for me. Just says the queue is empty even after I refresh it.
I have the same issue with the AdobeAir downloader. All I get is:

Your download queue is empty...

Are there plans to fix this? I just purchased Baldur's Gate, but my connection can be a bit dodgy when shaped so don't want to have to start it again.
