It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

thanks for help!
usually I get "size mismatch error" after around 1 GB downloaded and if I try to restore I get "403 error".
so I'm trying to use FDM and i can't get it resume it keeps saying invalid login. I am getting the new download link as suggested but its not working. also FDM doesn't auto start for me. I have to drag the link into the little blue boc for it to work. any help is appreciated.

I'm also using FDM and no luck resuming downloads. Tomorrow I bought Gabriel Knight 2 to play over the weekend (a 2.4 GB game) only to find out that GOG Downloader no longer works. Since I'm using really slow mobile conection, there is no way I could keep the download going for a couple of days.

Please GOG team, fix this as soon as possible.
So i got it working and I thought i would share for those in the same boat. Basically after you install FDM you need to close and restart firefox. As a way to minimize possible problems go ahead and disable any other downloaders you already have. Once you've installed fdm and restarted firefox it will install a fdm plugin. Now you can click on the download link as usual and it will automatically open in fdm. when your download fails, do this again only this time copy the new link and paste this as describe already in the stalled downloads properties.

it works great and this could realy be easily implemented into a gog downloder that would already take advantage of their excellent http servers.

Thanks to those who posted this stuff already and got a really good fix for us. The downloader being broken now a mute point for me.

I get this problem most of the time, after varying lengths of file d/ling, as well as the occasional size mismatch. I'm using XP and Firefox with DTA, as well as trying Internet Download Accelerator. No success. Like others, I'd appreciate any hints or a working GOG Downloader (although that's always been a hit-or-miss proposition for me too -- I get an E101? error).
I imagine this has already been asked and answered but I have only skimmed the thread. I am currently downloading Planescape: Torment and it is currently stuck at 781MB from a total of 1010MB. I am wondering if this is normal and I should wait, should restart, etc. Any help be greatly appreciated.

I am using Google Chrome and have Windows 7 if that makes a difference.

Thank you so much for looking into this, GOG.
And I prefer Adobe Air, as I have a lot of other fancy shmancy applications that run on Air.

Sure, flash / silverlight are alternatives, but they wouldn't let you run the app on the DESKTOP; Which is the point of the Downloader.

Luckily the servers are blazing fast and I'm getting my games at my max download speed of 1.4mb/s anyway!
Fixed yet? nope. Baldurs gate awaits.
As a lot of people in here have been saying http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ is your best bet. It integrates perfectly with Internet Explorer 8 and won't interfere with your other browsers or Steam clients.

It gives a good 100 to 200 kb/s (if you're using broadband) boost for slow sites and I've been rocking around 800 kb/s on sites that are normally fast.

It's free and it resumes broken downloads. Ideal if you guys are trying to do this with 56k dial-up.

Friday, downloader not working, nor any news from the GoG team, when this is actually being fixed. All the home made fixes are not the solution, even if they relieve the pain of the absent downloader. What is the point of buying games if it’s almost a nightmare getting them to download? This “no more beta” stuff looks like an epic fail to me. At the moment I can’t download any big games that I have if not installing 3rd party download managers. More than I week from the booming come back still no solution even an update. No downloader no new buy from my side, simple. Very, very unhappy at the moment with your services GOG…

It isn't resuming GOG downloads at this time, I recon GOG disabled resume suppport for some technichal reason. It used to do so before in the good old beta days.

Hmm....someone earlier in this thread or another similar thread mentioned that GoG refreshes the download link every so often for security (I guess if it was the same link all the time everyone could pull it once they knew the link). They mentioned something about getting the new refreshed link, copy/pasting in FDM and continuing with it.

I tried that, not working so far. I'll just wait for the new downloader.
I just want to add my voice to those that are asking : Please, we want the old GOG-downloader back!

How come the post-beta site is worse than the pre-beta site? I never had any probs with buying and downloading games before.

I've just bought Planescape torment, and downloading a Gig with my browser isn't going to work for me. I'll try some of the alternatives mentioned above, but really, - why do I have to go through this extra hassle when the previous dlder worked like a charm for me before?

Plz, GOG -get your act together; especially after the recent scare you gave us.
