Had I known it would be this late I could have created an account.
I logged on to USTREAM, but nothing happening. There are over 12,000 viewers online!!!!!!!!!! Perhaps the servers are suffering

My hope is for Lucas Arts, but I'm not hyped so I won't be dissapointed if it's not
I will just check back later for the highlights. Have fun holding

Think I may do the same, it's not working.

cogadh: But there is only one announcement we actually care about, the one GOG has been hyping.
avatar
Ketzerfreund: And that's most definitely not going to be the console release of the Witcher 2.
Great! The Witcher 2 going to be released on C64! YAAAAAAAY!

Oh yea, and EA joins GOG, with titles like Ultima, Wing Commander, Dungeon Keeper, Alpha Centauri, Magic Carpet etc., as if anyone cares...
ok, so guess i'm gonna be waiting a little longer for LA. EA is ok, but I am still not gonna splash with card as what I would of...
Great news. Probably all Wing Commander saga wil arrive, along with Theme Hospital, Magic Carpet, Populous, Gene Wars... I have my finger's crossed for LBA and Undying.

Good times.

Well, at least Magic Carpet is definitely coming (along with Alpha Centauri and Crusader: No Remorse), but the rest haven't been mentioned yet.

Okay I'm killing this thread and doing a new one. I want to know what peoples reactions were when they found out that EA was coming to GOG.

I liked it! Hopefully they add the C&C series (including Dune 2).
They won't add C&C. The first games from C&C and RA series were FREE for some time. Now they aren't.

I want Syndicate serie :D

I for one was highly underwhelmed. Then again I'm more of a point-and-click adventure fan so I was really hoping it would be Lucas Arts.

Same here. Let's say it was LA, I would have probably purchased ALL of the following instantly or when they bacame available:

DOTT
Monkey Island (All)
Grim (I have 2 copies on cd, but would have got it DRM free)
Full Throttle
Loom
The Dig
Indinan Jones and the fate of Atlantis

I have had a look at the titles released and those coming from EA, and to be honest I'm not gonna be reaching for my wallet anytime soon. I am interested to see what other titles are coming from EA though.

That said, I'm sure there were many folks that were thrilled with the announcement.
I'm as huge LucasArts (adventure) fan myself, but I still am more excited about EA. Because most of LucasArts games can easily be obtained elsewhere, and they are usually a breeze to get working on modern computers. Monkey Island 1 and 2 have Special Editions out, The Dig, Loom and Indy are on Steam. Grim and EMI are the only two games in that genre are the hardest ones to get working.

EA have a vast library to take from, much much larger than LucasArts. A few Star Wars games worth having that aren't already easily obtained elsewhere, like Tie Fighter and X-Wing series - but other than that, LA is not a huge goldmine like EA is, unless all you care for is collect games you already have several copies of on GOG.
