NO! DEDICATED SERVER!
avatar
michaelleung: We should pitch in and get ourselves a dedicated server, so we can switch games around on the same server depending on what we want to play. Doesn't have to be too expensive, but it should work.

how much is not too expensive?
M.A.X is technically possible to play via the net with a special dosbox add-on which would add TCP/IP support. Unfortunately I don't recall where you could get it. Maybe someone here does remember?
With that + the DOS4GW fix which fixes the late game memory errors once and for all, one could have some pretty intense games going...if people have the patience to stay online for hours upon hours that is :P
Um... OK.
So it's either:
Painkiller (3 votes)
UT2004 (AGAIN) (2 votes)
Duke Nukem 3D (2 votes)
Fallout Tactics (2 votes)
VOTE THE GAME YOU WANT.

I vote duke3d.
I don't own painkiller, but I'm happy with the other choices.
Not played Tactics yet, so no idea what thats like.
The advantage of UT2004 is that it's designed for MP, whereas the other choices MP seems to be more of a side option... although I'll defer to others that know better than me!
Painkiller.
Painkiller
I'll play all of those games, so put me down for a vote for each.
Hmm... Painkiller it is.
BUMP!
So, how about this Painkiller? I got it (not on GoG), so I could join in there.
i do not have the means to arrange a server, unfortunately
Anyone up for some UT99 multiplayer this weekend? Or tomorrow? Or hell, even right now?
