Hey all, I'm kind of new here, but I was wondering what everyone thought of a GOG.com wallpaper pack... I am pretty good with Photoshop and made myself a few for my Laptop, but if the interest is there I will make different Resolutions and upload them here for you all... Let me know.
Thanks.

Miaghstir: Png has worked before, so "forum only supports jpg" is a false statement.

Thanks, didn't realize png was accepted . . .=)

Oooh... That winter one looks almost too cool! (Pun intended.)
Thanks, Destro!
Great contributions so far.
For wallpapers, which require high resolutions and low compression ratios; might I suggest using an image hosting service such as photobucket or imageshack?
I have an interesting idea, but it will take some time. I will try to post the result later (hopefully next week). :)
The ice one looks really smart nice work.

Wishbone: I didn't mean it as an example of something you should do. Just as an example GOG wallpaper for people to give their opinion on.

I know that, I was just sayin...
But as for the Vertical logo, I know I could MAKE it, but if someone had it and could email it to me it would simply be easier, thats all. Though i may indeed make it on my own.
UPDATE:

Here's my new one... With Vertical Logo, and my Minimalistic Diagonal BG... Hope you guys like it... it is VERY similar to the ones posted by Destro, as I had to cut the logo from it, but until I make one that has the top and bottom of the letters this will have to do.
Unfortunately, I have to save the file at 75% quality to directly upload it, so later on tonight I will Probably upload it to my Picasa and Link to them from there, but here is a decent sample of my Full Size Work... Please tell me what you think...!

Stuff: I made this some time ago for DVD covers. I realized that GOG had not released a vertical logo so I didn't use it to respect their decisions concerning the logos they release.
As "fans" we can do . . . pretty much anything . . . but . . . you might respond to Destro in an earlier post and ask if GOG prefers that you only use the logos they have released in your work . . . just a thought . . . =)
I did butcher their logo in my Unreal Combo cover . . . so I shouldn't be talking . . .=)
Edit: your background looks good !

True, and I did not think about that, because the "Spread the word" section does "Kind of" give us permission to show off their artwork in our own way...
See: "So you don't like what we've made, or you have a better idea of how to use GOG.com logos? Okay, wiseguy, show us what you've got and create your own one-of-a-kind magic."
However the Vertical Logo is NOT in that pack... so yea: DESTRO - Is it ok for me to use that LOGO to distribute with my art?
also thanks Stuff for bringing that to my attention
