I know the main site still says "Coming Soon", but is there a projected release date as to when GOG will officially go online?
I'm getting tired of having to go to gog.com/beta and putting in my credentials in order to get to this "Beta" site.
Don't delete the GOG cookie and you won't have to do that every time.

That's unavoidable when Firefox 3 crashes or if I'm using a different computer in the house.

you could save the cookie
Or use the portable version of FF3 on a thumb drive so that you bring the cookie with you to whatever PC you are using.
Honestly, I don't think it will make a difference when the site goes live, it is still going to require some kind of login to access all its features when it is out of beta, so you will still be in the same situation.
BTW - How does FF crashing delete the cookie? I've never lost any of my saved cookies when it has (rarely) crashed on me. AFAIK, the only way that can happen is if you have FF configured to delete cookies when it closes.

Actually, I used to have the problem that my Firefox would delete all my cookies whenever I restart my browser (or my computer, I ferget). I found out from a solution posted online that my cookies.sqll file or something like that got corrupted. I just deleted it and it's been working ever since.

I didn't mean the need to type my login details. I mean the hassle of having to hunt through my inbox and find the link to the Beta site and then inputting my email address and Beta access key.
It's been a few months since the beta came out and the speculation when the beta first released was that the beta would end and the whole thing would go public on the main site (with account login and such) by October. Seeing how ti's already the middle of October, I was wondering if this beta will last several more months or several more years before coming to fruit?

Seriously - just make a shourtcut to http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/ and that will solve your problem. I haven't entered my beta login details since the first time I had to do it.
Indeed. After you login next time, just create a bookmark of that page.
That's what I did, but after the cookie gets deleted, the site automatically redirects me to the homepage. That forces me to go to: http://www.gog.com/beta and enter the beta key and such again.
Anyways, back to the original question: anyone have an idea as to when GOG will go live from beta?

They haven't said a word about it, which probably means soon.

I hope so... I'm tired of talking this place the heck up to everybody I run into only to have them gripe at me for NOT being able to get in. Lots of folks are chomping at the bit to start spending money and downloading/playing these games.

Well, they do have a invitation key for a friend at least. But yea, hopefully it goes live soon. For firefox users, I usually clear my cookies every time i close my browser. Instead of having it clear cookies with the "clear private data" bit, have it accept cookies only until firefox closes, then put as an exception www.gog.com. That should allow you to clear cookies without clearing the GOG one. I do hope this site stays strong and keeps up its good work! :)
Maybe they're waiting for 50 games, or even 100?
They've got 41 so far, unless I counted wrong.
Oh the irony...
