[url=http://www.gog.com/x11]Our holiday sale is here! You’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up all of our great classics at incredible savings, and that time is now. Virtually the entire catalog is 50% off from now until 2 January 2011. While most of you have probably clicked through and are getting games now, let’s let you know about the fine details of the promo.

Activision games are on sale until the 26th of December, so be sure to pick them up early. We’ll do our best to remind all of you via or [url=http://twitter.com/#!/GOGcom]Twitter about that, so be sure to follow us there if you aren’t for updates and reminders. Further, The Witcher 2 will be 40% off during this holiday sale, but the Witcher: Enhanced Edition is 50% off. Finally, there are a few games that are not in our holiday sale: in particular, Codemasters games and Gothic 1 are not included this year.

Our holiday sales are the best time this year for you to pick up all of the classic PC games that you have been waiting to get since you joined GOG.com; Santa also appreciates you picking up games on GOG.com, because that’s less for him to fit in his sleigh. ;)

Happy Holidays to all, and we hope all your gaming wishes come true!

Almost not any EA game is included :(

I was really waiting for it.....besides, in the art of Xmas sales, there is a picture of DK2, but that game is not discounted :(
Right, even posting is a chore and a battle now, well ****. Anyway, anyone know who you can check whether your damned support ticket got sent or not?

What are you talking about - all EA games are included.

They are, it's just that the search can't find them. (You're looking at the xmas2011 page, right? In the catalog, no game seems to be discounted.)
Just select the appropriate category (I've seen DK2 under strategy).

As I said - there might be a little confusion going around, becase games are discounted only on promo page , not in games catalogue, not on wishlists, not on product pages.

cymrean: Just wait some time, it's natural there will be problems with payment when the entire server is chocking.
avatar
keeveek: Such things should not happen anytime. When big sales like this start, lot's of new customers arrive. If they experienced such huge problems with payment in their first contact with the company, they would never buy anything from gog again.
+1

This was foreseeable and could have been avoided. A main point of a sale like this and all the social media promotion they've had surrounding it was to get a big rush of new customers at 11GMT today, they should have had infrastructure in place to deal with it.

Fortunately, I got my games and the money has been debited from my account, so all I need now is my confirmation email :)

check the individual games pages, not the catalogue. Some (most? all?) games don't appear discounted on the main catalogue page, but in fact they are on their respective page, DK2 being one of them.

EDIT: ninjas, ninjas all around me ;)

Sorry guys, you were right, they don't show as discount on main page or search, but they do if you click the promo.
However Dungeon keeper 2 seems not discounted, rigth?

keeveek: not on product pages.
It says 2.99 for both DK and DK2 on the product page for me.

It displays regular prices for me, and a whole lot of people. I will try to clear cookies and check again.
It seems GOG is working better now.
Well, on product page prices are discounted now, but on my wishlist, games catalogue and while you use dynamic search they are still not discounted there.
Hmm noticed some of the load glitches, not appearing as logged in until mucking around a bit refreshing etc and general slowness. I think I'll wait till tomorrow before buying.

Shame about the gothic titles not being on sale, maybe some other time (I have them as a DVD box set anyway).

Oh and thanks GOG for Empire Earth, much appreciated.
ok, I know I look retarded, but now is just working well =D
Sorry guys, I promisse, before it menthion 5.99.........

Well I am going to buy 15 EA games, so.........WOW!
