[url=http://www.gog.com/x11]Our holiday sale is here! You’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up all of our great classics at incredible savings, and that time is now. Virtually the entire catalog is 50% off from now until 2 January 2011. While most of you have probably clicked through and are getting games now, let’s let you know about the fine details of the promo.

Activision games are on sale until the 26th of December, so be sure to pick them up early. We’ll do our best to remind all of you via or [url=http://twitter.com/#!/GOGcom]Twitter about that, so be sure to follow us there if you aren’t for updates and reminders. Further, The Witcher 2 will be 40% off during this holiday sale, but the Witcher: Enhanced Edition is 50% off. Finally, there are a few games that are not in our holiday sale: in particular, Codemasters games and Gothic 1 are not included this year.

Our holiday sales are the best time this year for you to pick up all of the classic PC games that you have been waiting to get since you joined GOG.com; Santa also appreciates you picking up games on GOG.com, because that’s less for him to fit in his sleigh. ;)

Happy Holidays to all, and we hope all your gaming wishes come true!

Very much so! Thank you for the awesome sale, and a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy new Year to all of the GoG Staff.

CaptainGyro: so I bought some gogs as gifts about 13 hours ago and I used my email as the recipient, figuring I would just pm the giftee the codes.

I haven't gotten an email yet from gog yet, though I did get an email from paypal showing my purchase went through. I know earlier it took a awhile before confirmation emails were sent from gog, so I'm not complaining about it yet.
Here's the thing though.( this is probably a stupid question) I think there's a chance that I accidentally mistyped my email address, which might also explain why I haven't gotten an email code. Is there still a long delay for gog emiails to be sent? If I accidentally typed the wrong email address, am I basically screwed or will gog support give me another email with codes for the game?
Look under "My account" -> "My games" -> "gifted." The gift codes should be displayed there, so you don't really need the email.

damn. It says the codes are already redeemed. Looks like somebody got lucky
edit- never mind, I'm an idiot. Those are older gift codes from October of 2011 and October 2010. Those are the only gift codes I have, there's nothing from December 2011

Edit: Okay, nevermind then ;-)

Thanks for the sale! I can't really buy much right now but I did get Populous 2! I never knew the game even had a sequel. I also want Indigo Prophecy but I can't get it now : /

Deimorz: Seems to be something wrong with the promo page, it's not listing all of the games that are on sale. For example, by just going to the page I don't see any of the King's Quest collections, either on the "All genres" page, or the "Adventure" one. I even have them on my wishlist, but they're still not shown. But if I search for "quest" in the search box, they show up, with my wishlist icon next to them.
I would agree. Either the promo page is missing some games, or some games are accidentally on sale. I hear gothic isn't on sale but only the first one is $10 dollars, Gothic 2 and 3 are both $5. The promo page may cause some confusion especially for new comers since the games catalogue page still displays the original price for everything. The sale price is only seen once you click the link. I almost miss some games my self, since not all wishlist is displayed first (alien shooter2 is my example). I hope they fix it soon. I would hate for them to miss a sale because of it.

GOG - thanks for the sale. My backlog was big before but now it's even bigger. I'm still spreading the word on facebook cause I like what you guys are doing. This is one of the only place I buy my games.
Five games and 15 bucks later, my wishlist slowly shrinks..
I get a feeling I will be back before these sale shenanigans are over with.
Happy Festivus!
Hmmm, yeah, the holdiay list wasn't showing a few games that were on my wishlist. And the wishlist was still showing the full prices. So, I ending up ordering OTHER great games that weren't on my wish list. Guess I'll have to wait until my next pay day to pick up the Space Quest, King's Quest and Police Quest series'. *sigh* The wife is gonna kill me, but it'll be worth it! =D
Just got 5 games.

Thanks GOG! ( :

Reveenka: The Activision catalog doesn't seem to be on sale to me. I am at least not seeing any sale prices, just the regular prices?
In the catalogue, no prices are adjusted, only on the pages of each individual game.
And the Activision-games aren't on the promo-page either.
Very confusing. ):

CaptainGyro: am I basically screwed or will gog support give me another email with the same codes for the games?
GOG support is swamped, but we will assuredly get you the game codes eventually. If you submit a support ticket and include all of the info for the PayPal transaction, we should be able to track it down and make sure you get what you paid for.

We're still having some issues with the price displays due to traffic. It should settle down eventually.

Now the Activision-games are listed on the promo-page, thank you. :)
All weekend without internet, so no chance with the bonus codes... but yesterday I just emptied my wish list. 13 new games for the new year vacation!

Now is time to get the internet tubes red hot as I download the big ones (I'm pointing my finger at you, Broken Sword 4).
