[url=http://www.gog.com/x11]Our holiday sale is here! You’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up all of our great classics at incredible savings, and that time is now. Virtually the entire catalog is 50% off from now until 2 January 2011. While most of you have probably clicked through and are getting games now, let’s let you know about the fine details of the promo.

Activision games are on sale until the 26th of December, so be sure to pick them up early. We’ll do our best to remind all of you via or [url=http://twitter.com/#!/GOGcom]Twitter about that, so be sure to follow us there if you aren’t for updates and reminders. Further, The Witcher 2 will be 40% off during this holiday sale, but the Witcher: Enhanced Edition is 50% off. Finally, there are a few games that are not in our holiday sale: in particular, Codemasters games and Gothic 1 are not included this year.

Our holiday sales are the best time this year for you to pick up all of the classic PC games that you have been waiting to get since you joined GOG.com; Santa also appreciates you picking up games on GOG.com, because that’s less for him to fit in his sleigh. ;)

Happy Holidays to all, and we hope all your gaming wishes come true!

GOG - as far as I remember we had a break from weekend promo after Xmas 2010 sale. Is it going to be similar this year? If yes - when are you going to start new weekend promo cycle in 2012?
Wow, I feel like a kid in a candy store... you can get everything you want for the price of 3-4 new games... Just got almost my entire wishlist. Thanks, GOG, hope more stubborn publishers realize that they can sell DRM-free games and make money (they seem to ignore the fact that all DRM does is getting cracked eventually while pissing off the legit gamers in the meantime).

Destro: Since the promo page has the entire catalogue + shopping cart + personal wishlist built in, I recommend using the promo page for all the holiday promo shopping :)
So Activision-games aren't on sale either?

Shadowcat: Be careful while the servers are overloaded! I got the "too busy" page upon submitting my payment, and have ended up with no new games in my account, but an email thanking me for purchasing my new games, so I suspect that my card has been charged. I recommend waiting until things have calmed down before making a purchase.
I contacted support at the time, and I see that the games are in my account now, which was quicker than I'd anticipated. Thanks GOG. I hope the rest of the sale goes smoothly! :)
Buyed all the RPGs in my wishlist (Darklands, Lands of Lore 1 +2, MM 9 and all Ultimas) and XIII.

Now the only thing which remains is time to play my ever growing backlog...
7 games more to the account for £17 cant beat that now the longest wait downloading them :)

Grea sale but seems strange codemasters decided they didnt want to join the xmas fun.
I've been getting this error since this thing started:

"There was a problem processing your order

Skunk your payment attempt was declined, which typically indicates that you input the wrong credit card information (please double-check it) or that your bank automatically rejected the transactions for some reason.
Please note that If you use your credit card through PayPal, the problem should be present as well, as though you used the card directly on our site.

Some banks automatically reject all international transactions (we're based in Europe). In such cases you should contact them and ask them to allow transactions with us. If you wish to do so, please use "GOG Limited" and "www.gog.com" as reference. You would have to confirm that you wish to make a purchase from us. This should only be required for the first transaction and the rest should go through normally.

Other possibilities are:

* the card doesn't support online transactions (and can only be used in shop terminals and ATMs)
* the card isn't activated or set up to allow online transactions
* the card doesn't support international transactions at all (this is the case for many debit/prepaid/gift cards)
* the card doesn't support transactions made when you're abroad (if that is the case)
* (very rare) the card requires using the 3DSecure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode) service, which isn't used on our service.

If contacting your bank doesn't help, there are two possible workarounds:

* Use a different card (if possible)
* Send funds to a PayPal account beforehand (under PayPal's My Account -> Add Funds) and then use that account to make a purchase on our site. PayPal typically only allows users to add funds directly from a bank account, rather than from a credit card. This will allow you to you avoid any credit card-related payment problems.

If this doesn't help, please contact Support."

Oh, well. It's probably for the best. I was about to dump $60 on GOG, but now I have no choice but to save it. :P
Bummer about Gothic, I would replace my disc version if it was on sale.

I got Lands of Lore right away. Will probably get others over time as I search the catalog. Great sale GOG, thanks for being awesome.
28 games for me, I'm now up a respectable 78. I'd also like to thank GoG for the free game.
Darklands at $3?

Can't be passed up. game is mad hard to win, gotta love that.

thanx GoG for the sale and the free download!
GOG, you are frigging awesome! Thanks a million for what you're doing!!! You're the best!!!
Waiting until next week, then I'll pick up some Ultima, Lands of Lore, Nox, Wing Commander, Master of Magic, ARMA... the list goes on...
The Activision catalog doesn't seem to be on sale to me. I am at least not seeing any sale prices, just the regular prices?
Seems to be something wrong with the promo page, it's not listing all of the games that are on sale. For example, by just going to the page I don't see any of the King's Quest collections, either on the "All genres" page, or the "Adventure" one. I even have them on my wishlist, but they're still not shown. But if I search for "quest" in the search box, they show up, with my wishlist icon next to them.
so I bought some gogs as gifts about 13 hours ago and I used my email as the recipient, figuring I would just pm the giftee the codes.

I haven't gotten an email yet from gog yet, though I did get an email from paypal showing my purchase went through. I know earlier it took a awhile before confirmation emails were sent from gog, so I'm not complaining about it yet.
Here's the thing though.( this is probably a stupid question) I think there's a chance that I accidentally mistyped my email address, which might also explain why I haven't gotten an email code. Is there still a long delay for gog emiails to be sent? If I accidentally typed the wrong email address , am I basically screwed or will gog support give me another email with the same codes for the games?
