CaptainGyro: I think I kinda agree with anjohl though. Having a deal on everything for 2 weeks sounds awesome and all, but really the avaerage savings of each game is like $3. Were people actually reluctant to pay $5.99 for a game they really wanted, but then $3.89 was just the right price?
and I am not complaing that the prices should be lower, it's still a good deal. Like anjohl, I am just not convinced that this vastlly superior to other dd christmas sales.
What more people want? all the catalogue priced at $0.99? free lunch? That doesn't exist. And it was just the first (and great) year of GOG, it takes time to the catalogue grow up.
But some publishers seem to lock all their games at the same price. Some Jagged Alliance games for $9.99, talking normal price... then, not much of a good price if you want all the series, already including the discount.
Overall, for me GOG is superior (not vastly because of a few $9.99 games, but other games like Psychonauts deserve that tag), you have the possibility of paying $3.xx for classic games that will entertain you for a long time, and backup it to a DVD or CD forever. About other DD sites, I think that their past weeks deals weren't thaaat good; their best offers on modern AAA games won't stand against steam.
