Can someone tell me how to completly remove gog.downloader'?

I kinda have issues getting it to run properly and its just adding unneeded bits because i have no issue using the explorer.

Weird enough there was NO uninstall entry and no entry at all apart from the tray icon, which actually was troublesome to remove (google helped it).

I guess the downloader never truly worked because probably got blocked by inproper admin rights.

Anyway, i dont ask how to get it to work,. i aks how to remove it completly.

Pretty sure all it takes is a simple delete. Just send it to the recycle bin.
You surely seems to have a relaxed way to view things, which is kinda part of the gog mentality.

However, to remove a partially installted gog.downloader completly it takes more than a recycle.bin just believe me ;)

The stuff is residing in many areas of the registry and elswhere, that stuff have to be taken out aswell and its hard to do manually without proper knowledge.
Im not sure if its competly removed, the downloader was unable to be tracked down at all.

I just had the downloaded zip file, however, thats just a installer, which may lead to install.

GOG downloader creates no registry entries.

Delete the .exe
I never trust those cleaners. I always manually check. I found thr gog.com downloader entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE. Also one in HKEY_CURRENT_USERS/SOFTWARE/CLASSES

FInally do this:

http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/clear-past-notification-icons-in-windows-7/

if in windows 7 to perma remove old system tray icons.

If you don't feel like doing all that the entries are harmless and won't affect system performance at all.

There is no installer, merely a zip file which you extract manually, thus choosing yourself where the exe appears.

If you ran the exe from inside the zip file (why would you do that?), there's a high change it extracted to your temp folder.

On the other hand, despite there being no installer, I don't doubt it may create registry keys on the first run.

It only does after you use the damn thing. FOllow my steps in Win7 above for removal.

sure he does. no point of stressing over a simple program.

To be fair, I stress endlessly over my personal identity and if we truly know things.

i would tap that instead.
GOG Downloader is just an .exe file that can be run from any place on your hard drive. If wish not to use it any more, simple delete the .exe file (you may also want to delete the .zip file in witch you downloaded the downloader executable). There is no dedicated uninstall process (as there is no install process).

After that you will be left with a few registry entries on your computer, but they won't affect you in any way.

Remember, that the fact that you have our downloader on your computer does not implicate that you have to use it to download games. You always have the option to download using the browser.
