Well, the new year has passed--we hope you had a good one!--and now it's time to buckle down and start making 2012 awesome.

We're going to be doing our best, here at GOG.com, to make 2012 an even better year for fans of classic games and newer ones too then 2011 was. If you've been coming to our website very often at all, you probably know the three things that we do that make us different than the other digital distributors out there: we're completely DRM-free, we bundle in free extra goodies like soundtracks and wallpapers, and we charge the same price for all of our games anywhere in the world.

We're committed to keeping up with that philosophy in 2012, because it's what has made us a favorite gaming distributor for so many of you guys, and it's key to how we think anyone should sell games. Our GOG.com style of gaming distribution has definitely won us some attention last year, and we thought we'd show you a short round-up of some of the interviews that GOG.com conducted with news outlets across the 'Net in the last 12 months. Some of these talk about things that have already happened and are done, but some also talk about what GOG.com is planning to do in 2012 and beyond, so if you want to see if we're sticking to our guns when it comes to the GOG.com way, read on!
Thanks for the overview.

I was surprised to hear such good arguments pro a wishlist from GOG:

"The “most wanted” list that is placed on our site is an indicator for us what games our community expects. It’s also a nice tool to somehow predict if a certain title will perform well or we shouldn’t bother getting it up on GOG."

Can't wait for the release of Ignition. Make my dreams come true.
Cant wait to make my first "Newer" game purchase.... having more recent titles DRMfree has been a dream of mine since the advent of starforce... the simplicity of "install, play, enjoy!" has not been lost...

thank you for everything that you do GoG.com....

Happy New Year!
Speaking about PIPA (Destructoid interview) - aren't you guys advertising on Abandonwarez sites? Thus it will have an impact on you too.

Even a link "buy at gog.com" on abandonwarez site may be treated as an advertisement.
Good advice on getting people to make their voice heard through official channels. Damn shame that's not an option for the rest of the world though, despite the fact that it will impact upon us too.
that's great and all but...no new release today?

I see, well thanks for the newspost anyway GOG

Here's hoping you can get Bethesda on Board and get The Elder Scrolls series as well as ID Software in 2012

The older Elder Scrolls games(I think) are freeware and easy to dosbox, and the newer ones still sell in stores. Why add them? I'd much rather they went after ID and LucasArts, tbh.

Bethesda owns ID

If GOG can get Bethesda - they will get ID

If they just get Bethesda to release the ID titles/IPS that would be good enough, right? Also I didn't know or forgot that Bethesda owned the ID ips...sorry about that.
Actually, I think Zenimax owns both id and Bethesda.
