Anyone else had any billing issues trying to buy anachronox? I put my credit card info in like usual, and it said there was a problem with charging my account. I re entered my cc info and tried to buy it a second time. I was once again told that there was a problem with processing my credit card. I knew that I had entered it correctly, so I went to my cc account and saw that even though gog had told me that it had been unable to process my charge it had actually charged my account both times. I just want to buy the damn game.

Run a question to the staff through here, they should be able to help you figure out what is happening, hopefully get you your game and cancel the additional purchases.
contact support - they are usually really good about resolving these kinds of issues - though you may have to wait until Monday

It's Sunday bro.

You'll probably get a reply sometime next week.

My account was charged twice, while no services were provided. Why should the fact that gog decided to steal from me on a weekend make it any better?

GOG is closed on the weekend.

They don't work on the weekend.

A couple other people had this happen I believe. Support fixed their issue.

I feel like i'm being put on the defensive now. I was billed twice tonight (saturday 3/16) for a game I did not receive. I only want to play that game. I have been double billed for this one purchase, and this is not right.

Well, you could have checked your CC account before placing the order the second time.

GOG customer support generally try to respond within 48 hours - 2 working days.

No need to be on the offesive or defensive. I'm pretty sure that if the situation is indeed as you described, gog support will agree with you that it isn't right, and will fix it. They didn't "decide" to bill you twice, clearly it was some kind of error.

Just chill out, play something else today, and I'm sure all will be resolved next week :)

Of course this isn't right, but you are being unreasonable. Something failed during the payment process. That sucks, but it happens (it is most likely the payment processor's fault, not GOG's). Your problem will be resolved in due time if you just give them a chance to look at it. GOG is a legitimate business. Countless people have bought from them with no problems whatsoever. Threatening to report them as a fraudulent business because of a technical problem is not only theatrical but also counterproductive. It would waste both your bank's and GOG's resources for no good reason. As others have said, they are a small business and don't work on weekends. Just wait until the beginning of next week and they will get your problem sorted out.
Yes you are correct. I should have realized that a message saying that we were unable to process your order from your credit card because you may have entered the information incorrectly in reality means that I should assume that I have been billed for products that do not show up in my account.

It's a good idea to *always* check any online processing that doesn't work properly especially if it involves multiple providers.

If you do make a mistake, no biggie, just do it again.

If you didn't make a mistake and the problem is elsewhere, then you can follow up appropriately.
Hi,

it's not your fault obviously, and this is probably not GOG fault either, but it's their responsibility to fix this.

In fact, I had the opposite situation - during Christmas sale they gave me games but they didn't charge my cc. And I bought tons of games then. (They charged me after I told them about that).

Anyway, this is not soimething common, but it happens - they will fix this for you as soon as possible.
