Before I start, yea, yea, I know, "the wishlist", but this is more about discussion about if this thing would be possible, not about the "hey GOG guyz, I vant dis game heer now!" sort of thing.
Anyway, I read a blog post from the guys at Frictional Games, and if I understood it correctly, every little bit of cash will help them develop their games better...
So I was thinking, it would be nice for all parties involved (FG, GOG and ourselves, the gamers) for them to release the Penumbra series here, each episode costing $6 or $10... Yea, the games are not really that old, Overture was released in 2007, but still, I think it would be possible. I'm sure lots of GOGers will wanna shit in their pants. :p

They are scarier than Silent Hill 1 and 2. And this is coming from a huge Silent Hill fan.
They are absolutely terrifying. Though the scariness factor may wear off on a second playthrough.

I'm looking for a good horror game, but all i can find on the market are those games that make loud noises and BOO-AT-YOU suddenly, and that's not scary. Are those?;)

There are barely any enemies in the Penumbra series. The environment and the atmosphere is what is frightening. Play the tech demo first if you wanna see how the game plays...

Penumbra has got to be worthy of GOG status. A very different take on first person survival horror, yet one that's executed brilliantly. I know GOG doesn't typically do indie games. But I feel it would be a mistake to exclude them entirely.
I've pre-ordered Amnesia which is about all I can do to fill their coffers.

Its not exactly a demo of the game, but a demo of the technology used to make the game. But still, it kind of shows what the game is like. :)

The Penumbra series is *absolutely amazing*. I'd recommend it to anyone (as long as they don't mind being incredibly scared).
