We know you're busy people, but would you like to contribute to an even better GOG? How about taking 5 minutes of your time to make the GOG experience an outstanding one?

Our main goal when designing GOG.com was to create the best user experience in digital distribution ever. Many say we're doing it right, but we want to get even better, that's why we're launching a survey that will help us lead GOG in the way you'd like it to go. Taking part in it isn't required of course, but if you want to have your share in making GOG the best digital distribution service there is (or at least even better than it is right now) and maybe win a free game, devote few minutes of your time to answer couple questions we've prepared. From all users who will take part in the survey, we'll randomly choose 20 who will receive a free GOG game of their choice. Grab a pencil... er, a keyboards in your hands and answer the below questions for a better future for all of us :)

The survey ends on Thursday, October 27 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

paschott: I would have appreciated a different answer for buying "newer" games. The price completely depends on the game. For some newer games, $5-$10 may be a completely fair price. For others, I could see it getting above $20. Totally an "it depends" answer. I like the idea, though. I appreciate the way you seem to be thinking going forward. Looks like there are some interesting ideas in the works.

crazy_dave: Actually you could write anything in that space and I wrote exactly that - it depends. :)
But isn't it the whole point of that question what FLAT PRICE you'd accept for new games? I recall it is stated in the previous question.
Darn, I cannot see the link to survery... could anyone send me the direct link via PM? Thanks!

MichaelFurlong: I would not mind seeing newer games, but not day one releases. I would rather wait for a test of time. Wait until all the expansions and DLC have been released. Wait until the final game is actually playable in one piece.
Strongly agree with this guy here. "Newer" games would be great, but only after all the DLC and such has been released and bundled into a single DRM-free GOG package.
My happy point for new games is $20 that said they don't need to be just released a year or two later is ok. I don't pay more than that in retail stores.
For the questions about newer games, a LOT of it depends on the specific game - would I hope that GOG would carry it, how much would I pay for it, would I want GOG to have it as day-one releases.
I answered 'Yes' to the question about day-one releases, with the understanding that they would be for good games, and rare occasions. Street Cleaning Simulator 2011 or Madden Reskin 20XX? No thanks. Witcher 3 (or the next big CDProjekt Project) or, say, Torchlight 2? Yes please.
Done!
The questions really made me smile. I can't wait for new drmless games ^^
Also used the text box to express my hope to get the Mega Man as well as the Touhou series and Ninja Baseball Batman here

It's the news site. If you don't see it, you probably have scripts disabled

Actually the question is:
What do you feel would be a fair price to charge for these newer games (please make your answer in USD to make this easier on us!)
The flat price refers to the fact that everyone in the world pays the same in USD - not that there are only two or three price points. For new games, I'm not sure having only one or two price points makes much sense - yet another reason why I like the idea of having a separate storefront for good new games should such a thing come into being.

kodeen: "Would you prefer to purchase games in your local currency as opposed to charging always in $USD? "

My local currency is $USD. I don't know how to answer this.
I told TheFrenchMonk that we needed an "I'm American!" option there, but he didn't agree. I'd leave it with "No."

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
Also, agreed on having a separate site for newer games (I've been an advocate for that ever since the topic of newer games on GOG came up).
Instead of newer games on GOG they should make a sister site with shared accounts, if they really need to get involved with that market.

DrIstvaan: Done, but I've noticed under the question about new payment methods, you listed "PayPal", which is already a payment option... so what gives?
I think TheFrenchMonk wanted to see if we'd get a lot people asking for it even though we already offer it. His French ways are inscrutable.
It's not working for me, I press the "Next" button and nothing happens :(

Phaidox: (there are only so many "good old games").
There are always good new games and as nothing can stay new forever there'll always be more good old games, although the release schedule may drop off to 1 per month.

I'd buy newer games from GoG if they were made in the classical style of their genre.

Especially indie titles, as those tend to "get" the classical experience better than big name publishers.

It looks like a number of people with various ad-blocking extensions are having problems. I'd recommend either using a browser without an ad-blocker installed (I don't know about you, but I've never bothered to tart up my install of IE because I never use it for anything), or allowing jotform.com and jotfor.ms domains. That *should* fix it.
