We know you're busy people, but would you like to contribute to an even better GOG? How about taking 5 minutes of your time to make the GOG experience an outstanding one?

Our main goal when designing GOG.com was to create the best user experience in digital distribution ever. Many say we're doing it right, but we want to get even better, that's why we're launching a survey that will help us lead GOG in the way you'd like it to go. Taking part in it isn't required of course, but if you want to have your share in making GOG the best digital distribution service there is (or at least even better than it is right now) and maybe win a free game, devote few minutes of your time to answer couple questions we've prepared. From all users who will take part in the survey, we'll randomly choose 20 who will receive a free GOG game of their choice. Grab a pencil... er, a keyboards in your hands and answer the below questions for a better future for all of us :)

The survey ends on Thursday, October 27 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Done. I said "no" to some of the options (like "remember credit card details") that I'm not interested in, but I'm not specifically against those as long as they're not forced.

This talk of more client features is interesting. Even more so if the protocols are disclosed so that others can make their own alternative clients if they want.

Davane: One request I have as an avid blogger is that GOG set up an affiliate sales scheme for their games. I tend to write about games a lot, and it is always good to provide examples of solid gameplay and other references to such posts. I would love to be able to support GOG by directing readers and sales, and in turn being able to get some form of support for my hobby and livelihood.
We already have one. Email us at users@gog.com and Galimatias will get you set up. :D
I wish they'd had a qualification for Day 1 releases. I wouldn't mind buying smaller games like Trine or Machinarium here on release, since they usually cost less, but I'm not going to pay more than $19.99 for any game. I can't afford more than that right now. Also the newer the game is, the less likely it is that it will run on the PC I bought in 2006 and can't afford to replace.
I'd be interested in using an autopatcher for some games, or even just being notified somehow when a game is updated.
Being able to download a patcher .exe rather than having to re-download entire games would be good.. though I suspect that might be difficult to implement in some cases.
Pick my price on 1-3 year old games:

I picked 29.99 as that is typically MSRP after a game hits that time frame. I think the pricing should match retail until it reaches Good Ole Game status. 3-5 years+.

Additionally... this would give a bigger sales bucket to draw from. 40% - 60% off a more recent retail available game is a huge deal although would likely be a little less often.

As for day 1 releases... you like money don't you? :p Give it the GoG treatment and you will break me ;) I'm much pickier about what I buy from the $9.99 pricetag and up, but I can think of a few dozen titles I have and will skip that I would buy immediately if GoG sold full retail price minus the DRM.
One thing I forgot to add to the survey, but which annoys me every time I click on a thread, is the inability to go to first unread post. Please, pretty please, sort it out.

TomNook: Am I the only one not seeing a survey of any kind?

TheEnigmaticT: Make sure you have javascript and cross-site scripting enabled. Or try a different browser.
I've tried 2 browsers and javascript is on. Don't know what cross-site scripting is. If you truly want people to take the survey, this shouldn't be such a PITA. Would it be so hard to just put a link to it?
not viewable under firefox.
but it's ok with ie.

sigh .. finished the survey and forgot a point : how about, besides the Good New Games people are talking about, forking also to Good Independent Games. I am sure there are enough independent game devs who would welcome the opportunity to take advantage of GoG's name in exchange for a percentage of the sale.

What's the meaning of the red asterisk? "Required"? I didn't find a matching footnote to it, did I overlook it?

Anyway, because it's you guys, I filled out the survey regardless and didn't even lie about my age. ;)

Seeing one question about the likeliness of buying games at sales and another about the reasons for buying games full price, I'd also have expected a question about the reasons why people choose to wait for sales, or at least more options to discriminate between sale and full price, depending on the type of game; e.g. I buy games I really want and like at full price, games at sales that I'm only curious about or didn't even know yet. And sometimes the backlog is a factor, too (e.g. "I don't need the game right now, I can wait, and if it's going on sale in the meantime, all the better.")
I enjoyed this survey :D

With the new games, I would totally buy some as just the convenience of GOG's installer and DRM freeness is all that some games need
MMM.... i cannot submit the form??
I completed the survey, hit submit, and received a 404 error for my troubles.

Should I submit again, or was that a superficial hiccup on my end?
