Oh happy days, Dungeon Keeper 2 and Deus Ex are no longer in the top 10, meaning other titles will start to get attention. I was ready to create a mocking thread congratulating Dungeon Keeper 2 for reaching 4000 votes months after it was released, but now I don't have to.

Thanks GOG!

what??? we need to vote for them again :)
...and for some reason removed The Deeper Dungeons as well while they are at it
I hope the Thief games will disappear soon, too :)

Is there a reason for showing only the Top 10? It would be interesting to see at least those which have 100+ votes, IMO.
Yepp, but they cleaned only the toplist. Via search you can find many still released games, also Duke Nukem 3D ;-)

Because not too far beyond the top 10, the list starts getting ridiculous. Some pretty stupid things have gotten much more than 100 votes. I think at one point "Moar Buttsecks" had 100+ votes, just as an example.

I was just contemplating on what possessed Kyojinmaru to place a vote for "Street Fucker II".

You do have to wonder.
the wish list is fairly pointless, IMO. it looks to me as if every newly released and upcoming game gets an entry. what's the point? it's not gonna happen, particularly not in the case of SteamWorks titles, which dominated last year's release line-up and will likely do so again every year from now on.

the list needs some moderation.
Man I'd been away from the wishlist for so long that I'd actually forgotten that 6 of the top 10 are LucasArts games... all of them from the era when LucasArts was one of the kings of adventure, instead of just Star Wars Game #117™.

Nah, I don't believe that the followers are so bad. Of course there is much crap there, but at the end the topvotes are legit.

It's really interesting to see such a big gap between the Thief games (not on the listbefore) and the other games. I know GOG don't want to spend more time in the wishlist (cleaning up, etc.), but to show at last the top50 would help to get more hits.

Keremix created just such a list.

Anyone who has bought the Humble Indie Bundles before will know that there are plenty of Steamworks titles out there with standalone versions. Just because said game has Steamworks support doesn't mean that a DRM-less version is excluded.

And there are enough recent titles on GOG to justify adding them to the wishlist. I mean, we've just had Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods appear, and that's not even five years old.

But yes, the list does need to be moderated to have the silly entries removed.

Ah that looks very interesting, thanks. It seems the real wished games get at last above 900 votes and that's really hard to reach for the funvotes, so there should be no problem to expand the toplist.

indies? hardly comparable to games like Skyrim, Rage or Dead Island. SteamWorks is an integrated suite that includes multiplayer matchmaking, updating, etc. no way these games will ever turn up outside of Steam.

people are just adding every game on principle, which is pointless. GoG isn't going to add brand-new 2000 games.

The wishlist exists to help GOG gauge support and desire for individual games. It helps them figure out which publishers to focus on. So it's the opposite of pointless.
